Yes, I pinched this from the news section by want_a_buell and it was also posted in a thread in the 1125R section. RoarRacerX posted this picture with the comment saying it is from "...RRX contributing photographer John Hanson, who thinks he just may have captured what had been meant to be a new 2010 model, which he spied not far from Milwaukee." Rear brake is on the right, suggesting 1125. You can see revised full fairing and headlights, lightweight tail section, thin passenger peg brackets, wave rotors, & what look like radiator vents. To me the front wheel looks different, more star style spokes. Looks like chain adjusters at the back and chain drive. No number plate? Looks too good to me to be a privately built special. Could it be a photoshop? Anybody recognize the location? Anybody recognize the rider? | ||

I saw this at http://thekneeslider.com/ as well. There have been a couple interesting Buell discussions going on there. If it is a Buell prototype it sure does look sweet! | ||

Hmm. Could that be the rumored 1199cc, chain-drive, new bodywork bike that was being developed to shut up the "that's <1125RR> not a production bike, it's not eligible to race in this class" whiners in AMA? I like the front wheel. Looks like the same split-spoke design that the XB/Loki uses, but instead of flat 'blades', they hollowed them out further, making them into two 'spokes'. Nice. <sigh>..... What we could have done with that bike! Still holding hope that there will be a rebirth of Buell distributed through ONLY the dealers who signed the 7 year deal. Can't even imagine how many of these we could have moved. I want to throw up now.  | ||

The more i look at it the more i like it! you can see the pegasus logo on the side of the helicon engine case, swingarm chain adjusters, and the lightened spoked front wheel! If the 1125R had a three way with a Ducati 1098 and a KTM RC8.....this is what would pop out! | ||

Hmmmm... Could this be an underground "hearts & minds" campaign? If so, it's working  Is somebody going to get their @ss kicked at HD on monday morning??? (If not right now?) Wow! That is the bike that would have put Buell in the middle of it all. Every time they would have had a Sport Bike shoot out, Buell would have been invited. That is the real in, to the sport bike mainstream or about 1/3rd of all American riders and 2/3rd of all European and Japanese riders. |
