I live pretty close to where the dog was found...Just now read it on here...I would like to tie the person up and drag him behind my Buell in a trash bag. |

I wonder if this was revenge against the owners or something? F--king heartless. |

Beating whoever did this senseless with a wiffle ball bat would be a good start |

It scares me that people like that exist in the world . . . I hope they get what's due them. |

Makes my blood boil to think of what was done and curdle to think of the kind of people that did it. I just honestly can't comprehend how anyone could take a defenseless creature and do that to it. No reason can justify it. A wire not connecting in their brain somehow. Karma is a word I've used a lot lately... However, that said, the irony is inescapable that an animal hunter thinks it was terrible... (Message edited by vampress on November 14, 2009) |

It's a choice made early in life, setting fires, torturing animals, etc. If one doesn't stop, they eventually turn to people for victims. |

If you don't want the dog, and can't give it away, then for goodness sake, euthanize it humanely. I'm with Court. It scares me that there are people out there who are so cold and heartless. I think some work for HD. |

Chad - I was thinking about this and it probably wasn't the dog's owner that did this but maybe a neighbor that was sick of the dog barking or something like that. Vamp - hunters are not heartless. Many make use of the game they hunt. |

I myself would guess the dog or its owner really pissed off someone in the neighborhood and this was their way of getting even. This kinda crap happens way more often than most people realize. |

As a person that likes animals more than people at times... "If you don't want the dog, and can't give it away, then for goodness sake, euthanize it humanely. " I ABSOLUTELY disagree with this statement. I can only imagine that you don't mean it the way it reads. If you make the commitment to get an animal,(or a child) it is your responsibility to care for that animal to the best of your ability. If you don't "want" the animal, it is NOT okay(with me) to kill it...however "humanely". |

As a person that likes animals more than people at times... that would be me! If I ever caught anyone doing that to my dog, they would be shot on sight, no questions asked until the gun was empty. |

Cyclonedon: A gun is too merciful. String the bastard up the way he did the dog and see how much HE likes it. |

If I ever caught anyone doing that to my dog, they would be shot on sight +1 I agree with you too Pammy, it's not ok to give up on an animal. They deserve better. All of them. This world disgusts me sometimes, just how blazze and cold people have become. |

Just about as bad are the people who dump their dogs out in the "country". Those people think that fido is going to spend his days frolicking in freedom out in the woods. When the truth is he's going to either starve, get shot for various reasons or killed by some coyotes. |

Those bastards dump them up the roadfrom my house. Every year we "foster" 3-5 dogs cause someone couldn't handle the responsibility of another life. I for one would love to "RUN" into the little piss ant that done this to that dog. He/She would definatley not be hurting another animal makes me sick |

If you think this is bad, watch the "Food Inc" video. Made by the same folks who did Inconvenient Truth, its a story about the food industry and how its run. I made it through 15 minutes and couldn't watch it any longer. |

I can't hunt except with a camera, but I have had to shoot in defense of my own, it is sickening and I do not recommend it. There is no acceptable reason for abandoning a pet in the wild...period. Where I live 50 miles west of Las Vegas it is a frequent occurrence, people from Vegas lose there ability to keep the home, or can no longer afford the additional fee to keep the family pet in there rental, for some unimaginable reason, choose to drive out to the desert...THE DESERT!, and drop the dog off! What a slow and miserable demise, I just don't want to imagine. But some people are ok with that. And these are the people who need to experience some of that feeling, at least once in there lives. Abandonment, starvation, disorientation, dehydration that could be the cure, if not then drag e'm behind your Buell. |

Terrible. They need to put some Gravy Train in the guy's underware and let the dog lose. 3 of my 5 dogs (14 really...9 puppies not old enough for a home yet) were strays I took in. 4 of my cats are the same. Soft heart I guess... |

Most of our dogs my wife found, we have always been country people and also have to deal with the "dumps" which we gladly do. We have a foster network which get calls from us to help find homes for cats and dogs that end up by us. Our Great Dane was a save and so was our 150lb. Rot/Shepard mix meanest looking dog you have ever seen but he had the biggest heart out there. My wife found him splayed out on the side of the highway with a dislocated hip and all kinds of road rash. He never liked to get into cars or trucks. This just shows that Buellers have a softer underside and makes me glad to part of the Buell family. |

About 2 years ago this time my wife & I were hiking in a park in Northern MN. We ran across this:
in a shoebox and a young skinny momma. Now I'm not real big on cats, I'm mostly a dog type. But seeing those 7 hungry little faces staring up at me and knowing that they'd be lunch for a coyote soon I just couldn't leave them there. The funny thing was the trip home since we had our dog, my daughter's full grown cat and these 7 kittens and mom in our suv on a 7 hour drive. |

There are no words. I have a sledgehammer and a set of pliers in my garage that I would use to spay or neuter. I dont want those genes reproducing. Beagles have long been my list of favorites. |

I have 3 dogs(sometimes 4) and 4 cats. Wes and I are soft hearted/headed. It's good to see that we are not alone. The most pitiful rescues included a full grown Neopolitan Mastiff that weigh maybe 40 lbs full grown and was completely blind (from malnutrition) when I took the dog, the vet said he had maybe 2 or 3 more days even though she was surprized he was still alive at this point. It took me a month of feeding him home cook food a tablespoon at a time along with prescription vitamins before he could eat on his own. I can assure you that the rest of his life was quite different. He, Brio, was 145 lbs at his healthy weight. (Message edited by pammy on November 18, 2009) |

Our local humane society has put up a $500 reward. To find the A-hloe whole who did it. The national gave $1000, A local resident gave $1000 along with more from other residents. The total as of today is at $4500. Needless to say the humane society is not taking this lightly whatsoever. |

If they find the guy they should tie him up with duct tape, stick him in a large plastic bag and leave him in the middle of nowhere for a couple days. That would give him a small taste of how the pooch felt. Then once he realizes the error of his way stake him over a badger hole and call it a day. Yes my post is mean & cruel. When I see stuff like this I throw "eye for an eye" out the window and I go for the whole head. |
