Do BattleTrax events still take place? LOL, every morning in the parking lot at work... |

Amen, Skinner. Ride a few years and the one thing that you learn is that "real riders" can be found in the saddles of any and all makes and models. Harley has its share of poseurs, but as a percentage I don't think they outnumber those on sportbikes. |

Nope.... Skyrocketing insurance rates pretty much killed things off. Plus, a somewhat less-than-scrupulous Harley-Davidson district manager attempted to hi-jack the event from me. That episode took away a lot of my enthusiasm. |

What you all fail to see is that "Fag" is actually an acronym: Fast Aged Guy. Feel better, Court? |

Nope.... Skyrocketing insurance rates pretty much killed things off. That's a shame. BattleTrax, as you know, is very addicting. It'd be fun to take a run at José some time...

Reg, the loudest bike I have ever heard outside of the drag strip was a 1125R at last years Homecoming. My God was that thing loud. We could not talk in the parking lot while that thing was on. It sounded great just way to loud for me to ride to work everyday. I think he(Geforce) has taken care of that problem. He is on here quite regularly. I know he wasn't happy with the noise. |

Nice to see Jerry frothing after SP made fun of Fickle Aging Geezers such as him, as I was afraid that his incontinence had rendered him speechless. Next he will be hobbling out of his wheelchair and railing about kids on his lawn. Jerry does have a mean wheelchair lean angle when he does BrittleTrax though. Luv ya, man. Reg, Any pictures of a girl named Kat grinding off the footpegs on her Dyna? Homecoming 1999 I believe it was. G |

Greg.... Yep, I have Kat's pix. The problem is, I have a thousand or more BattleTrax slides tucked away in my someday-I'll-get-to-it closet. My plan is to select the best, then scan 'em. Don't hold your breath. |

Here in Ohio there were a couple of non battletrax events that were pretty much battletrax ripoffs. I participated, because it was all I could get... there weren't any battletraxes near by. But in hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have. I didn't really understand what was going on at the time. My apologies Reg... I'd sure love to see BattleTrax come back, maybe in race venue parking lots or something (where the insurance nut may have already been cracked). I'd ride to Mid Ohio for one for sure. |

Funny you should mention Ohio, Reep. No apologies necessary. The behind-the-scenes activity is not the concern of riders. And don't bet that the insurance "nut" may have been cracked. There have been dealers that have run these events under their garage liability policy because they did not fully explain to their agent what BattleTrax actually is. Uninsured events have also taken place... which is just about as stupid as stupid gets. We never had an insurance claim, or lawsuit. Yes, riders were hurt... ribs, fingers, wrists, collar bones have been broken. There is inherent risk in this event, and it requires that the operators know exactly what they are doing. Mike Yasovsky knows, and I know, what we are doing. I have watched rip-off events that put riders in serious danger. Everyone thinks they can lay out a course; they can't. We learned the hard way as to what makes a safe, but challenging course. |

Hey I'd even ride to Mid-Ohio if Reep and Ferris were going to be there... as long as they aren't FAGs. Damn, looks like I missed a good thread cause all-you-all had Ferris's feathers ruffled. Oh well, that's what happens when you're out riding. |

Damn, looks like I missed a good thread cause all-you-all had Ferris's feathers ruffled. JB2, I knew you'd find it soon enough. No feathers ruffled. I gave the RR's (Righteous Riders) seven or eight pages to vent before I ever spoke a word, just gotta try and keep them (and you) honest, doncha know. Jerry, Methinks this is you. Correct? Correct. Cool pic, thanks for posting. That was one of my favorite all-time BattleTrax venues - lots of room, good pavement, and stiff competition. I was flogging the infamous Thong (running shagged D205's - yuk), and had a ball. Lee Stipe (Sleez here on the board) is the current proud owner of the Thong, which he dubbed the Wedgie. Good times. |

You know Ferris I took so much shit off the Harley riders around here(my home range, not BWB) when I bought my first Buell you wouldn't have believed it. I heard it all about being a crotch-rocket and how Harley was going out of business for making Buells and every other story that's been told here. It was all in fun but it got old. Then after I jumped back into the Asian market with the purchase of 2 Hondas I got all the grief all over again. Mikey Breedlove was always on my shit cause I didn't buy a Harley but he was pretty happy about the Vic. I never could figure out why some folks thought once you bought a Harley you ALWAYS had to own one. BS!!! So yes I play to the stereo-types of Harleys riders. But, it's always in fun and it gives me great satisfaction to know it's gets under some people's skin. And, even though you try to keep me honest, everything I say is honest and true. I care more about the ride than what someone rides and you, more than anyone here, should know that. If I ever turn FAG I promise I'll buy another Harley and you'll be the first to know. Thanks for watching out for me though. JB2 |

You're as faggy as the rest of us, my brudda, and it's my pleasure to make sure you don't forget that - you're not the only one who knows how to get under someone's skin. No prob on the watching out for you thing - I'll always have your back.
