I wish Motus would deliver soon. My last communication: Thanks for your interest, keep checking www.motusmotorcycles.com for updates. We are currently designing the engine and we hope to release details soon. This is no crazy science project. We're just making an affordable bike with proven technology and a kick-ass engine. We're going against the odds though, especially in America, so we need your support!! Kind regards, Brian Motus Motorcycles |

my dealer is a KTM dealer also and I test rode the Super Duke. I have to say that the Super Duke in a nice motorcycle, but I sure would hate to have to give up my Ulysses to get one! The Buell XB12X Ulysses is the better motorcycle. |

I love the looks of the Benelli's... however a short bit of investigation reveals they have a loooong way to go in the quality and reliability department, I'm afraid. There is a Benelli dealer here on Long Island in St. James. They had that big trailie last time I was there, but every time I've looked for the TnTs I've been told they're expecting them in two weeks. It seems to be their stock response. |

I could go for a KTM RC8 as a second bike. Give up my Buell I don't think so, way to much fun |

There isn't a KTM dealer near me, but one day when I was out on a ride I passed one and stopped in. This was about 3-4 months ago and they had a brand new Super Duke marked down to something like $9995. I really thought about that bike for a while. I checked with them a couple of months back and it was sold. Now I have an XT and am not really looking around any more. |

Benelli even has a street-fighter with side mounted radiators call the "Cafe Racer" CAFE RACER Specifications Price $16,299 MSRP Fuel Mileage 33.7 mpg city / 35.56 highway See this is what I don't get. People (not here mind you) whined about Buell's being overpriced all the time. But if Erik had setup shop in Italy added 4-5K to each bike, would people have said, "yeah, I want one of those!" I don't get it sometimes. At least we had the reliability factor down and don't have to wait a couple of months to get parts. Go ask anybody with a Guzzi about trying to get parts during the summer break... check that, ask them about getting parts any time of the year. KTM? They make great bikes, but even with a dealer here in town, I'm not so sure there are enough around in general to "fill the new gap" in the US. The problem for most companies (Buell was no exception) is that we live in a freakin' huge country and it takes a lot of dealerships to cover the country. Along the east coast things aren't so bad, but in the west and southwest, the amount of space you have to cover sometimes to get to a dealership is crazy. I wish them luck, I've always liked the looks of the Super Duke, but I think we had a couple of streetfighters that simply were just as hot in the Buell lineup. Wayne

I really like the KTM Super Duke 990 BUT its too tall! I sat on one the other day and I felt like a ballerina up on my toes. Is it possible to lower it at all? |

Buell isn't even officially out of business and some of you people are already jumping ship. |

Getting back to KTM. the Super Duke 690 is an awesome bike. I enjoyed the time I had on one. $10898 is the msrp. The Buell stays, I've always said I'll not get rid of my little 9. |

I love my 9, but it has been down 5 months this year because of the abuse I have done and waiting for parts. Sure it was all covered under warranty. but I missed HALF a year of riding. Obviously I am riding the wrong bike in the wrong venue. damnit. |

City, after seeing what all you post, I'm thinking your "bike" needs a driveshaft and bulldozer treads. ~SM |

I LOVE my Lightning! Im never selling it! I have only had 2 bikes. A Blast and my Lightning. I was just thinking about a possible future bike. But like I said, the Duke 990 is a bit too tall..... sigh. |

Last Guzzi I tried to lift off the kickstand nearly blew a disc outta' my back. Thing weighed a freakin' TON. Seems that where Buell's goal was centralized mass, Guzzi just went with MORE mass. Those shafts must be iron lined with lead! ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on November 11, 2009) |

Hey Glitch, how many miles ya got on that bike? Hard to say honestly. The odo says over 65K, but the speedo has stopped yet again, and I haven't bother to clean the sensor. I works when it wants to. Maybe I ought to wash it every now and again. |

Somebody turn that haloed Buell emblem into a patch and I'll buy five to put on my jackets with my Thor's Keepers patches. |

um... I just fell in love. Paint that somnabiatch orange and gimme mine ! Swordsman you have motomail. I would trade the Buell for that. Or more likely purchase it when the CityX retired from the woods. |
