can somebody post a link to a thread I saw that had engine rotation made easy instructions..... I can't get the search function to function. and while your at it.... My rear rocker box is leaking.... if you have fixed that before... do ya have some how to pics?  | ||

Don't you recall the Dr Greg special? That was his first book written on the BadWeB. A very well written 'how to' that led to his first sequel.  | ||

Remove all airbox covers and airbox--if a 12 just leave cable connected and sit aside on back of bike,push IAT sensor out of boot,disconnect O2 sensor,unbolt top mount bolt at engine side,you can leave the bolt in though ground strap.Remove sprocket cover and both l/s scoop and r/s cover.3 allens bolts on front frame/oil cooler section. Remove muffler then jack up engine to remove weight from front isolator bolt and remove it.Lower engine. | ||

Cool, I'm diagnosed ADD, got the little blue pills for grad school, I'll have to check jim's out if I need to do the procedure. Either way, the XB manual is one of the best I've ever used for most procedures. Good on ya' Buell. | ||

There are so often little "crap! I wish I would have known that" things, that the experience of fellow BadWeBers bring to light, that are not in the book. I feel blessed to have this benefit of being here. I generally use the SM and advice from here to make the job go smoother, quicker, easier, and cheaper. Mark, you should be ashamed for breaking that new toy this soon! You may have to spend some time in the corner without lunch!  | ||

I used the manual the first time, and it's good, but if you remove the cover on the right side and unhook the fuel injectors from there, you have less risk of breaking the connections. Manual, IMHO is a bit out of order there. DAMHIK | ||

You'll need the manual, but it lists steps that aren't necessary. You DON'T need to disconnect the oil cooler lines, just unbolt the mount. You DON'T need disconnect the regulator wiring (kind of a PITA) just unbolt the entire assembly. | ||

You don't have to remove the rubber velocity stack either depending on what you're trying to do, and its a major PITA to get back on! | ||

Inspect, clean & seal electrical connections while engine's rotated; they're more accessible. |
