I went through 3 Taurus SHO's and I REALLY enjoyed them . . . I'm digging the new Fiesta that's on the way . . . Ford's got it happening . . . Thank goodness we have choices other than GM 9Government Motors). I really kinda wanted my $81,000,000,000 that we lent them back and I'm sorry to have seen folks who had their 401(K)s in GM bonds and the folks who lent the money watch GM default on the "loan". | ||

I have my doubts about the Fiesta (aka Europe's Mazda2) ever making it over here. Hell, they've been talking about it for 3 or 4 years now, and we still don't have it. I think they're afraid it'll outclass the Focus (since they flat out refuse to bring the Euro spec Focus over). ~SM | ||

I just want a Ranger but the darn things hold value so well around here you could get a newer (by about 2 years) more optioned out Dakota for about 5 grand less than any ranger that is directly comparable (ie 4x4 vs 4x4 larger engine offered in both automatic within 20k miles of each other with the dodge having less etc etc.) | ||

I owned a 1999 Ranger XLT and loved it. I went with a 2002 Dakota for the V8 and loved it more. More room and felt stronger towing. Then I bought a 2006 Dakota 4door with V8. And I hate it. If Ford would put a V8 on a Ranger, it'll be my next truck. Although the V8 Sport Trac is an option. | ||

dodge dakotas also have less mileage compared to the ranger because they are broke more. | ||

I've usually get 20-22 mpg with my V8 Sport Trac on trips even loaded down like that pic above. The 292 HP is nice. | ||

Mark its the Ford Falcon FPV Ute. It is a competitor to the ST, but last I heard no word on it coming here. Why is it so god damn hard to give us a 400hp RWD midsize unibody pickup??? I need to con Lemonchilli into sneaking a ute into the states when he comes to visit. |
