apparently there is a number of items from sun h/d in denver. so chances are you could be right. but another question is how much stuff did they actually get and who tipped them off when other dealers who are a good bit closer didn't even have a chance for any of this stuff. it just irks me to see a dealer scarf this stuff up regardless of how much there actually was to make a helluva profit on it when you have the truly faith full wishing that they could get one last chance on getting a fabulous deal. sorry about the rant. |

It irks me to see new models go for $5000 off. It irks me to see gear and clothing with a Buell logo being hawked .The whole thing irks me. The American dream is going down the crapper. God help us. |

Maybe they will offer both availability AND a great deal. You have to admit that $.10 on the dollar was kind of a stupid price for stuff. A $16 hat for $1.60? What if we can get that $16 hat for $8. It's still a hell of a deal. Maybe they will come through. |

The original offer was for 90% off. The problem is that this announcement KILLED the dealers who had stepped out there and secured significant quantities of Buell gear at cost (like us). The good news is that there wasn't that much out there. The problem is that now anyone selling gear for a good price but not give away (90% off) is considered "irksome". |

FT, not so some of us just consider it a business that's trying to stay in business. Give aways are nice but selling at a profit has to be expected for someone trying to stay in business and also support places like badweb. There are idiots that will only buy the steal, alot of them are the same ones that bitch when a company folds. I guess they think that everyone else will just make up for their freebee. NOT |

I can tell you this being a Colorado Buell dealer who has been working hard to acquire more Buells to sell for my customers who are still in search of the greatest American performance bike ever... I heard late in the morning that the Buell gear was being offered at such ridiculous low prices. I raced in and tried to buy gear for my daughter, son, wife and some friends as well as myself. It seems a fax was sent east coast time, and by noon, dealers on the east coast had bought up nearly everything. I think I got three pair of gloves. I haven't confirmed it, but I believe any Harley dealer was allowed these purchases, not just Buell dealers, let alone Buell dealers who signed the transition agreement to support Buell customers for seven years. I find this particularly frustrating because we have worked hard to deliver great bikes, service and environment for Buell customers and not being able to offer them these deals is just not right! How many more ways can good dealers be given barriers and hurdles? |

It is sad to see people like Fat Bastard, ChelleM and the others who had these things already in stock to support us and the brand get F-ed. Dealers who support Buell then or now are far and few between. It's sad that they are the ones losing out. |

as soon as our daughter heard about it she called the wife to ask what we wougld like and get it ordered and it came back unavailable pretty early so someone had the heads up on this stuff. i was really hoping that one of the sponsors would have gotten this stuff to pass on some kind of savings to the rest of us. |

That's messed up right there. HD just can't get rid of Buell fast enough can they? I purchased some shirts and a jacket from Latus Buell on Saturday. I have them now and don't have to wait for shipping and the inevitable eBay hassle. Screw HD |

I know we have some things that were ordered but were in limbo during all of this. If the order from the manufacturer is fulfilled, it will be at the regular dealer cost rather than the $.10 on the dollar price. This means that if this stuff actually comes in, we'll have it, but it'll be at cost plus pricing. The good news is that we'll have it to offer. Support the dealers who have supported the brand on BW and elsewhere. We'll do our best to provide you good deals and good value. Just like we always have. |

In addition to being screwed by fellow dealers. . . HD is turning a blind eye to lots of things they generally don't allow. I suspect the fallout will come down on HD later . . you don't need to see much more than the last financials to see what's on the way. Someone is in the process of stealing my rear 2008 Ulysses wheel on e-Bay right now as well. . . http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-Buell-Ulysses- Rear-Wheel-and-Axle-w-bearings_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQh ashZitem3a5490dad1QQitemZ250526882513QQptZMotorcyc lesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories |

Well I got some of the latest Buell schwag from Bumpus HD Saturday. A great price at that! And it was a beautiful day for a 400+ mile ride! I am sick to see a dealership work that hard, and good folks like Jeremy, Tom, Frank and a lot of others I don't know, put all that effort and pride into promoting Buell, to have the lights turned out. They are still on it and promoting as if Buell would be around for the next 124 years! Jeremy it was great to see you again, worth the trip in itself. We will ride again! See ya in the spring I'd bet! BlurrrrbbbllleeBluuuurrrrbbbbluurrrrrbb |

Great to see you as well. Cool to see my buddy and get another rider off a Harley and onto a Buell while I can. That guy looked like a kid in a candy store! I love it! |

Makes me think of the day when I was a buyer for computer equipment in the $M of dollars. The big makers would pull the same kind of crap. Fax out the specials list at 5pm Pacific time on a Friday night. Just makes me hate HD even more. Will take some time to de-HD my house, and kill my desire of a CCS TwinSports clone, but orange and black makes me itch now... |

I don't make a lot at the parts counter. I got the call to order stuff, got there and ordered a bunch of cool stuff that I could finally almost afford. I got a pair of leather pants and a pair of gloves out of a dozen things I ordered. At least I got SOMETHING. Zack |

Sun Probably didn't get in on the deal, they have recently decided to NOT support Buell any longer and are clearing out their inventory. We got zero notice and missed most of the deals, they are 22 miles south of us... Zack |

Thanks for that correction Court! I had been napping for a while before I posted that. Apparently being groggy can affect my math skills. 174 was the intended number! I spoke with a couple of guys in the parking lot there who were former Chrome Couch(Burrmmmmbblabrummmble)riders. They had switched to Buells with no desire to look back. Perhaps with HD's initial intention, to "up-grade" Buell riders a couple of years after getting them into the fold, faltering, they noticed they were loosing too many HD riders to Buell. Thus the need to close Buell, crushing some of the competition for the 'brand' and 'life style'. You know, no matter the success, you don't want to divide the root of the house. |
