I'm 5'11" (OK, 10.5"), with a 30" inseam. The uly is no big deal height-wise. It's a little tough to back up on, so I don't park facing forward downhill. Traffic lights, mount, dismount, etc. are no problem. The only time I've dropped it was when I was trying out a bunch of different handlebars, without them mounted. It's hard to balance a bike without bars. Dirt biking history helps, though. Heck, my XR400 is 2" taller and I have to kickstart that badboy. Al |

Hey PK, if I tell the "little woman" that you called her a fat chick she will hunt you down and teach you a thing or two about talking bad about what we call "thick chicks"... |

I never said it was a bad thing. I've always said I'd rather see rolls than ribs! |

Height isn't a problem, I have both the '06 low and standard seats, but never use the low anymore because it isn't as comfortable. When I first got the Uly I only used the low seat b/c the height was a little intimidating on the road. But after a couple months the low seat went in the attic and hasn't seen the light of day since. The best advice I can give (that hasn't already been given) is watch out when you come to stop lights. Sometimes the tracks where car and truck tires go is considerably lower than the rest of the road. Even if the low area is full of water, use it. Its a LONG way down when you have your bike in the high area and then try to put you foot down into the low groove. DAMHIK |

How much taller is the tall seat compared to the stock seat on an 09 XT? Are there different versions of a taller seat? Any drawbacks to a specific seat? I'd like to find a tall seat, but it looks like I won't be able to test ride on one before purchasing unless I want to ride to MN, OH, or NC. |
