On HD's Facebook page: "Harley-Davidson Motor Companyis declaring November “Military Appreciation Month” to thank active & retired military personnel. If this includes you, we’d like to spotlight you on our Facebook page. Please post a photo here (w/your Harley if you have one), and in the caption tell us if you’re active or veteran, branch of service, where you’ve served, how long you served, & in 15 words or less tell us what Harley-Davidson means to you." ..so I told them what HD means to me: "Active Duty Navy for the past four years. By shutting down Buell, HDI has made it obvious that they don't value American engineering, manufacturing, and the American Spirit. The Victory Cross Country is looking pretty good if I ever decide to buy a cruiser. BFFB 1997 Buell S3 2000 Buell X1 2002 Buell X1 2009 Buell XB12XT" (Message edited by pkforbes87 on November 03, 2009) |

Marine Corps Vet How HD really works: Add trouble, subtract pleasure, divide attention, and multiply ignorance. |

I asked "what happened to Buell Employee Appreciation Month?" Then I dis-friended/fanned the MOCO. |

I can't post a pic! Damn DOIM horse crap freakin BS regulations! I'll have to do this when I get home. This is what I had. Active Duty Army, 7 Years, Purple Heart Recipient, OEF IV/VII... I own two Buell Motorcycles. 2008 1125r/ 2009XB12Scg. At present, due to the current executive decisions made by HDI to effectively destroy the brand without offering to sell the company. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I do not believe that the current leadership in this company truly cares for the things that are stated "as advertised". If that were the case, every attempt would have been made to sell Buell and keep that model of the American dream alive. For those vets who do ride and enjoy your Harley... From a fellow veteran, thank you for YOUR service. I look forward to seeing you on the roads of this great country and sharing the adventure of riding in the future. I have no issues with the riders or owners or dealerships. My money will be invested in another great American product known as Victory Motorcycles. This purchase will be within the next 3 years. Good luck on attracting the younger age demographic and "Thanks" for the ride! I just realized they wanted "15 words or less." |

I should write on their page that I'm a 22 iraq war vet and I ride Buell sportbikes. I want to tear up the mountain not raise kane on a big harley. In todays military the war vets are getting younger and I doubt they want to spent their hard earned dollars on a cruiser. Thanks HD for taking more American dollars and giving it to japan. |
