What makes Buells Special My Bad web name Babired is actually the name for my 2000 Racing Stripe X1. Then when I got an e-mail account with MSN Babired was the choice and when I came on Bad Web I was 100% with Babired again. So the name Babired has been with me for 10 years Here is the story; Yesterday I decide to take my X1, Babired, out to commute to work with, I haven't rode it in a while so I checked the air put some gas in it and rode to work. Monday Long day, all day long the standard time makes it even longer! 3:30 comes and I'm out the door I fire up Babired and ride it home. So I get to my driveway and park the bike in front of the gate to my driveway. I get off the bike go into the yard and unlock the garage, get my gear off and walk down the driveway to unlock the gate so I can drive my bike in. At the same time I open the gate this guy is walking to his car, which is one of those Dodge hotrods, I think its a charger, not sure. He looks at me and looks at the X1 and he told me he would kill himself if he got on "one of those" Then asks me how big is it, says 600cc, 700? I look at him while I was putting the old cylinder key in the ignition, my right leg goes over the saddle and I say "nope its a 1203 torque monster" I'm starting to smile at this time because I know Babired is going to roar once I fire it up. The guy was like holy cow a 1203! I fire Babired up and it roars loud, I crack the throttle a couple of times and say laughing "its all about the power!" I pull into my garage after the guy pulls away in his Dodge, Babired sounds way better than his car, they guy knows it. I'm laughing then cry a little because Buell is closing. Babired gives me this experience a lot through the years I've been riding it. One day it will be a legend. K | ||

One of my fellow co-worker instructors just got an 1125R check her out!   I told her about the fantastic prices on the 1125Rs and the CRs she went and bought one the next day! She is sooooo happy with her new Buell! |
