Unfortunately any dolt cant put up a blog and call it news and people will believe it. I think several of his "facts" are wrong based on what we have been discussing fr weeks. Also unfortunately fools like this thrive on hate mail so it is pointless and counterproductive to send any kind of feedback to this fool. |

yeah, you're right. I actually second guessed posting it as to not incite unnecessary negativity.... he had some silly writing credentials which made me think MAYBE he posted dribble like this elsewhere. |

Why is he calling the recession the "Obamacession"? The recession started LONG before Obama took office. |

That guy thinks he is a lot more clever than he actually is. You can tell he loves his own opinion so much he actually thinks it is fact. What a rube. |

Moonrunrs, Are you serious as to why he is calling this the "Obamacession"??? Do you understand basic economics?? Do you really think that you can triple the national debt and pay for large government entitlement programs(which have nothing to do with stimulating the economy) with money that we don't have? How about Union Payoffs?? Do you believe that you can just keep printing billions of dollars of currency without devaluing the US dollar?? Do you believe that passing ridiculous environmental laws which will no longer allow us to import certain oil from Canada (never mind that we are not allowed to drill for our own oil) decreasing supply in America, driving up demand hence cost?? What about increasing taxes on private citizens and businesses discouraging the spending of capital. If you would like more reasons as to why this is an "Obamacession" get with me offline and I will help you out! Matthew |

This guy isn't the only one with that opinion. Some of the squids say Buell cheated to get the AMA/DMG win. I read somewhere else the the only people buying Buells are weirdos. Is my XB12Ss ugly? You bet it is, and I love it. Did Buell cheat? That is certainly debatable, but a win is a win, and what is even more impressive is that Buell was up against racing teams with more personnel than the entire Buell factory. Are the only people buying Buells weirdos? Well... pretty much everyone I know that owns one is a Buell nut job, so yes, we are all weirdos. I love my Buell for all of the reasons that the detractors seem to think are the wrong reasons. Well EXCUSE me for not being part of the heard mentality. I also love my Buell because is a superb streetbike. I came from a Kawasaki, and sure it was more refined, but not nearly as fun. IMO this detractor and all of the others can eff off. I'll continue riding my ugly, unrefined, weirdo Buell for as long as I can, and I will probably get more enjoyment out of it than any of them will on their cookie-cutter rockets. |

I can't express how happy I am that hardly davidson is getting out of the motorcycle business. I wish them luck in the leather and t-shirt business as this is where they are strongest. As for the employees, customers, friends and relatives of buell motorcycles, I hope everyone remembers how they have been disrespected by hd. My heart truly goes out to the buell employees and their families. I currently own two buells, I am proud to own 'em and have no plans to sell them. I hope that buell can continue with out the hd cloud over them and continue to be innovative, american built and yes, beautifully ugly motorcycles. |

Ugly? Has anyone looked at a new GSXR? I'm a Suzuki fan and even I think they are hideous. |

i'm a bit stunned by all of this...i just bought a 2003 Blast in June and have been enjoying it very much...planning to have my first mods done next week (lower handlebars, bar-end mirrors) and looking forward to years of fun riding...have to say, though, that i have never enjoyed swimming through the H-D sea every time i need parts or service...but i'm not sure what my options will be here in Atlanta... |

hey mtmansl, re-read moonrunrs post. and then tell me you think that if barack lost, the winner woulda done things much differently, re: the economy. if you do, you are living in la-la land. as far as "ridiculous" enwironmental laws, well - all i can say is your opinion about the enwironment is obviously yust as short-sighted as h-d management is about motorcycles... doug s. |

Doug in a short answer YES! You think that McCain or even Hillary would have tripled our national debt in less than a year? Do you believe that either of the aforementioned would have allowed the US dollar to be completely decimated because the Treasury is printing money at an alarming rate to pay for social programs that will never stimulate the economy? If my "environmental" thinking is way off, why is China now drilling 90 miles off our coast taking our oil that we are not allowed to drill for? Sounds like you may be in lala land! |

Mtmansl, do you actually believe what you hear on Fox or are you just really good at making shit up. China IS NOT drilling off our shores. Please check facts before you come blowing wind around here. That freakin rumor was debunked about a year ago!!!! And, yeah anyone elected was doomed to inherit Bushes legacy!!!! |

Man I am engrossed with politics and put a lot of time into arguing my points on forums. Here's what I think: This forum is about Buells so you don't get to know what my opinion is on the political climate until an "off topic" section is created. On the Buell front, that guy sounds like an idiot. Whether or not Buells are ugly is completely up to the individual and he doesn't get to pass judgment on this for the rest of us. The XB line, Ulys, CRs, are ugly in an Apache Helicopter I'm fugly and cool as sh#@ all at the same time and in my opinion, they are some of the best streetbikes out there. Furthermore, I don't see my Buells as any less refined than the Suzukis, Hondas, or Harleys that I have owned in the past...in fact the Buells are the only bikes I've owned that came more or less as I wanted them straight from the factory. |

by the way, the China drilling 90 miles off the coast was originally report by George F. Will. He's on abc news & newsweek. Foxnews didn't originate the report. FactCheck.org has page on the issue: http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/are_the_chin ese_drilling_off_the_coast.html There is a great deal of BS flying about this issue. The real story, as far as I am concerned, is if there is oil off the coast of Florida, should the US drill for it? |

It just seems that no matter how bad we all wanted Buell to be the baddest kick ass bike out there, we were still feeding this underdog mindset. Had Erick spent as much time and effort on a conventional sport bike, He would have had built probably the apex of motorcycles bar none. Past legends like Yoshimura advanced motorcycling light-years into the future....fact! Erick had the mind and drive, but most importantly the passion and vision of a Savant. Harley just happened to be the platform that He could utalize, it cost big bucks to get inventive, and Harley had deep pockets. Erick really was worthy of much more than Harley could furnish. The decision to close and not sell was sure to kill any attempt that might prove unsightly for Harley. Willie and the boys weren't even in the same car, not in the same league. Whatever happens from here, Erick will certainly form a new allience with a motorcycle entity and when he does watch out. Now the freedom to go with conventional sport bikes will be available to him, only not just limitet to a V Twin platform to work with, a evolution of the Harley V, where was that going? No restraints. The near future will be interesting to watch unfold as far as Erick is involved. After all thats where our real loyalty lies. (Message edited by gohot on October 30, 2009) |

Thank GOD we are getting back to political squabbling... Yes!!! It's about time! Obama tripled the national debt? Sean Hannity said the other night that Obama had quadrupled the national debt! Why not just go for quintupled? Or even sextupled? Well, maybe sextupled does sound a little silly! |
