"www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2009models/2009-Apr ilia-Mana850" Saw the test of this on TV this morning so I looked it up. Interesting new bike thats been tried before by Honda and a couple of others but I think maybe done right this time. I have no interest personally but like the idea and the execution. I always thought a nice Lexus V8 with paddle shifters on the steering wheel would be fun. I will ride my 1125R until I'm too old to ride but this might be nice for a lot of commuting and occasional sport riding. Bob |

The 2010 Honda VFR1200 has a selectable dual mode trans. - 6 spd or all auto, shaft drive. Interesting sport-cruiser concept! |

We've (Kiwirider) got a Mana Auto at the moment too. Haven't ridden it - I've had a Thunderbird for a month and am having a hard time keeping off it. The most controversial bit I've written was about the DN-01. I called it a landmark vehicle - still do - because it's the first one with the whole shizzle auto gearbox. Triptonic and full auto. |

The Mana ALSO has a CVT transmission. In fact, that engine is used in a Godzilla-sized scooter in Europe. Makes the Burgmann look like a Vespa... |

Damn, now I have to find a way to hinge my translucid "tank". We have found the solution to the "where to put the helmet problem". The "traditional" tank location is occupied instead by an illuminated storage compartment that is lined with non-slip, non-scratch material and big enough to house a full face helmet. The compartment also incorporates mobile phone storage and a 12V power socket. |

Didn't know what to expect when we demo-ed the Mana. Really liked it...took some getting use to not having to shift, but was kinda nice in bi-polar I-95 bumper2bumper traffic (0 to 65, then 65 back to 0 NOW!) Could be an option for riders who like the naked sportbike look but are manualtransmissionally challenged. B. |
