I thought some of you might also be interested in this little rig I made for shooting video and stills simultaneously.
You can buy flash extenders and dummy shoes at the camera shop.
Then I fashioned a bit of flat steel to suit the slot and, well the video isn't as good as a dedicated shoot, but for a one-man band it works OK if the main brief is good quality stills.
If they can't source what they need - they make it. Even cranks.
They get along too.
We've just had the Hampton Downs - a world class track - opening near Auckland. I was pinning a GSX-R600 around it at the opening day, thinking I was doing pretty good pace-wise, when Andrew Stroud, the national champion and occasional SBK rider, blew me away on a 50 year old Macintosh Norton.
