Sekalilgai that parking lot looks familiar... sorry if I took someone's spot! I talked to a couple guys at Roma's, we left as a big group showed up. Dinner was good, I was too tired to eat much though. Drove to East Troy after splitting off from Nick's (Spike240sx) group. Big thanks to him for the loaner helmet and a HUGE thanks to Conner, the GTO guy for letting me ride his black XB12S (Force muffler) for a while today. It was a bummer to leave my bike home but it's good to be here meeting great people! I'm so embarrassed I couldn't recall Conner's name for a while, I think the Force rattled it out of my brain (one of these will work) (and one of these for good measure) . Dude, you rock! I took a nap while the girls went to the hotel pool. I should be in bed again. Can I tell you guys, my wife is pretty damn amazing. Driving clear out here (she'll have to fly home Monday evening) and helping me make this happen. My daughter has been pretty good natured about all this too. Too cool. Talked with No_rice on Saturday too, thanks for the calls guys. Zac, sorry you are ill, riding all the way could have been either really cool, or absolutely miserable. Might show late at Hal's, I'd like to take the girls to see that big lake... we don't get out this way often. See you guys in the morning, maybe at breakfast - I'm the bald guy with the silly grin in the Red Fusion(Utah plates)! |

Have a good ride today. Wish I could be there in person but economics force me to be here (plus my only rain gear I'd be wearing is orange and branded H-D, wouldn't be nice to show up in that) And I really wish today's ride was for some different reason. Would someone send a message for me? The message is simply "see you later". When I was a kid my friend next door was moving away. As he was getting into the car to leave I said "see you later". His sister said " what do you mean with this see you later crap, we're moving away, you'll probably never see him again, you should be saying goodbye not see you later". Yeah, okay, I thought to myself, and as they drove off I said "see you later". One year later they pulled back into the driveway, the dad quit his distant job and got his old job back and somehow also bought his old house back. My friend's sister looked at me real funny like as I stood there in the yard between our houses as they were moving back in. Please excuse the story and pass along my message of: "See you later" Have a good ride What we know is in the past, What we hope is in the future, What we live is today Have a good ride and see you later |

Ratbuell, Let the East Troy group know that I love my 08' 1125R. Waiting for the 2011 Phoenix 1125R. I still wish you would donate my old XB9S back to me. That would make up for the hefty rebates.

I'm using the hotel 'puter, not sure if I'll be able to put them up from here. It will be this evening if I can. Thanks for the pic Conor. It was a somber affair, one that couldn't really be captured by pictures. The word, "funeral" came up quite a bit. When we arrived and I saw the employees outside and watching from their cube windows, some holding each other crying, I began to cry too. Amazing event. We pretty much had free access to the factory, there was "tour guides", but you could walk from station to station and watch. I made sure to thank each employee that wasn't busy with a hand shake and a smile, wishing them well with their future, again with a tear in my eye. One thing we did get to see? the new XB12X City that's heading for Europe. Lucky bloody bastards. |

tmj dropped the ball by calling this "a rally to save the company", it wasn't meant for that...it was meant as a thank you to Buell. A way to tell them that they won't be forgotten. Fox 6 did a much nicer job. |

John, I agree with you about channel 4. Christy and I said the same thing when we saw it. Didn't help that the peron they interviewed had said that we were there for that as well! Also agree with what you said about channel 6! |

I don't think in all the posts I have read yet on any thread it has mentioned that the Buell employees all chipped in and bought a keg for all the owners at Al's Tavern. I don't drink so hopefully Spidey had my share but still a very cool thing for them to do. I still am relishing in how appreciative every employee was that we were there. Being told thank you for coming by so many people when you are there to thank them was amazing. I love this family. |

YES they did. The Employees chiped in and got a 1/4 or 1/2 barrel of beer for all the riders. Everyone I talked to I told and told them to tell people but it was still a small turn out at the Tavern. But it was great to sit down and hand with the employees, swap stories etc. Jeff and I had quite the convo about the Scantron and Digi tech LOL
