The local news did show... FOX 6. There was 96 bikes that rolled in. There were also the ones that caged it. Probably close to 140 people total I'd say. Very emotional day. But at the same time spirits were good also. All the employees were very thankful for what was done today. I have pictures but give me some time. They will come shortly.
I have a few pics but I'll be damned if I can figger out how to resize em. I'll wait til my computer whiz girlfriend gets home and then see if I can post em.
Very meaningful day for me. Very proud to own and ride a Buell. After today, I don't think I'll ever sell my XB. When Erik spoke, I almost shed a tear. He spoke from the heart, he's just like one of us... Buell owners are a tight community, but BMC in even closer. You can truly tell that they all care and love one another. The entire room was very emotional, you could feel it. I saw a handful of workers crying and hugging one another when it was all over. I was hard for me to pull out of the parking lot to head home, knowing that Buell will not be there the next time I go through East Troy.
Proud to be an American, Proud to be from Wisconsin.
I couldn't be there and I'm very disappointed about that. Ourdee, thank so much for getting that video for all who couldn't be there, Erik pretty much summed it all up.
Thank you for putting those videos up. I couldn't be there. First, I was told I couldn't have the time off and retain my job. Then, last Tuesday, I came down with H1N1 (Swine Flu) which I still haven't gotten over; so even if I could have gotten the time off, I would have been too sick to ride that far. The video and pics and stories are a big help.
BudC, didn't you say no messing around...? I don't think that's cool! In the parking lot of the Buell Factory, on this special occasion...? I don't get it.
Here are the two groups arriving from Hal's. The arrival of so many Buellers in the wet chilly conditions really meant a lot to the elves. I heard this voiced at the table I sat at during the meal. Very emotional event. I'm proud of everyone involved; from those that made the phone calls, those that sent in monetary assistance in their absence, and those that made the trip. No_rice's burn-out was well received by the employees looking out the plant windows. I saw many smiles in there. We are talking Buell.
Yes, there seamed to be enough food and soda/drinks.
