Steve and I also want to remind everyone that on Monday we NEED to keep this a positive event .. both at Hal's and at the factory ... we, and I am sure despite emotions running high, the elves, don't want this to turn into an HD bashing event ... let's keep it what it's meant to be - a celebration of the past 26 years, and a deep heartfelt appreciation of the work done out in East Troy and the love of these incredible machines ! This is extra important if we do get the news crews out there. If there is a glimmer of hope for something good to come of this, only positive actions will accomplish it, not negativity towards HD. We're not too worried, we Bueller's are a stand-up bunch, but we also know how deep emotions can run so it's just a friendly request/reminder. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday !! P.S. Those that haven't paid or contacted me ... pay up !!!  | ||

Well, if last night was any indication at the Dry Dock Saloon (I'm pretty sure that was the name)...we're gonna have a good crowd, full of good people. Sorry to all who were there for ducking out all of a sudden during the set break...we were beat after a 12 hour drive and a HUGE dinner at a local steakhouse, and although I was just starting to hit my "screw tired, where's my beer" stage...Kim was beat (and the smarter of the 2 of us), and we both needed to get some rest. Although, the people-watching at the bar was AWESOME!! Anyone ever figure out who Joe Dirt was?  | ||

Bummer, Looks like due to health stuff I'm out too. I was hoping that the "crud" would have lifted a bit more by this AM but it didn't happen. I had the flu last week, missed 3 days of work. I'm still not 100%, still have coughing and stuff and get winded when doing stairs.. I don't think it's a good idea to ride for 6 hrs in the damp and cold today then do it again tomorrow. On top of that, my wife was diagnosed with H1N1 last week, she's over the worst now, just dealing with the same crap I am. Brian, I'm going to paypal you for a meal to help defray costs.. thanks much for your part in making this happen. Man, this flu crap sucks. I want to be there in the worst way.. I''l take a break at work tomorrow at 2:00 and think about everyone at East Troy and say a silent thanks to all the Elves that made our little corner of the world so fun. Brad | ||

Just walked in from a trip over to Gus's. Great food, really nice people. Drove through the factory parking lots too. I took hwy ES over to East Troy from Waukesha and didn't see one Bueller. I thought I'd have run into somebody at Gus's or the factory. Nice day for a ride. | ||

Hey Ken, et al...Kim and I are here as well, we're the 'other' orange Uly and the truck that had the S1W in it (1313 just picked it up for tomorrow's ride; figured the least I could do is loan an ex-local a bike!). We're getting ready to head out and see if anyone's at Gus' or Roma's...if you guys are interested, we'll probably head out in a bit. Otherwise, we'll see ya in the AM | ||

Vern We wish you could have made it too, business comes before play right? Anyway, the five of us met up for the ride up (Masa, Mark, Mike, Dennis and Ken). The fog had lifted and it turned out to be a good day for a ride (including a jaunt on the surface streets in Chicago). Had dinner by the hotel, met someone from the factory who was as shocked about the news. Linked up with Joe (Ratbuell) and Kim and took a short trip to Romas and met a quite a few other Buellers. Tomorrow ought to be a good turnout.        you'll be hearing more about this bike and its creator!   | ||

Just pulled in to the Holiday Inn in New Berlin. Nice to see the Buells out there. Parked next to Joe(Ratbuell). Front desk lady was wondering why there are so many Buells(7). Told her what was going on and she thought it was pretty cool. She even knew where the factory was. Wolfy's XT in white is awesome. May need to get a spare set of plastics... | ||
