Actually it was more a case of me, not she, slipping in quietly through the cat flap! To the few that have noticed, and for those that haven't, I have returned. Thank you Blake. Here's to a new era. Let the good times roll Rocket |

And to think it took the closing of Buell for all this reconciliation to occur. |

Actually, Blake and I have talked about it for much much longer. The important thing is Buell will live on regardless via the worldwide community of fans. I don't feel I've ever not been a part of that, despite alienating myself at times. It's an English thing, lol! Nice to be back, and welcomed back too. I'm somewhat humbled. Thank you. Now let's see if we can get Buells back in production. |

Thanks kindly. It's been a while, lol. I sold the V8 bike to an engineering friend who wants to take it forward in a slightly different, less kinda Streetfighter way I think. Given he's a fully equipped shop and plays with lathes all day, he's gotta be the right man to do a good job. His problem is, he has an XB12S he tracks, and devotes most of his time to. I doubt the V8 will change much, if at all, anytime soon. The S1W beast is doing well. I holed a rear piston early this year. Lucky I had a spare one given those Wiseco forged jobbies are not exactly easy or cheap to find in Yorkshire. Gave me a chance to open the motor up and see how well it had held up since I rebuilt it four years and more ago. Amazingly it's as good as it was when I put it together. My biggest surprise was looking at the AAC cylinders I'd had repaired after the rod smashed the skirts when it went bang. The welds and re-plating look like they did a few thousand miles ago. Decided last year to finally do the ISR controls etc. I went mental and bought the ISR switches too. Boy oh boy did I have to overcome a lot of problems to get everything to work. Clutch cable perch was 1 inch for Harleys, so had to sleeve it down. Then the switch clamp Allen screws wouldn't align coz they're for Japanese bars like our Buells. That meant ISR sorting a 1 inch switch clamp. Don't ask about soldering wires onto the miniature switches. I went through various mods to get them functioning where and how I wanted them. This included using the original Buell wiring to maintain the plug connects at the loom end, and installing two relays for headlamp flash and horn. And no the wiring diagram was not as simple as I first thought given the headlamp 'on' permanently thing. Of course, I stupidly started the clutch side first, and taking my time between other things like one does, it was a few weeks before I realised getting around to the right side bar the stock throttle was of no use once I'd junked the stock switch gear. I opted for a Roby Moto quick action throttle to solve the problem, only to have to have custom made cables for the Mik. Tell you what though. Everything works great and looks ace, and that QA throttle is awesome. I've set it on the fastest action so what was once a full 180deg twist with stock throttle is now 90deg. One noticeable difference is wheelie control. Even for someone like me that can't get it up, it's like Viagra to ones . Not that I've ever tried or needed to Viagra!!!! I also managed to get a rear old style wave rotor from Braking. The types with the rounded waves. I've not found a front to match yet though. Amongst other stuff I've done, I slimmed off the rear light underseat bracket and fitted Kellermans signals in place of those Joker Machine ones I had. I also fabricated a new and much neater nicer alloy number plate holder. Rebuilt the billet rear light unit with a new custom made circuit board. Whilst at the rear end, where I still have the engine breather routed to a K&N filter, I put a crank vent in the line. I'm not sure if it stops the intermittent and unpredictable puking, but so far it hasn't puked yet. It's just I had a theory that once the line was breathing at high RPM when it does puke, it dawned on me a vacuum effect could be drawing from the crankcases once the puking was occurring. If anything the vent will not allow this. Hopefully it might have cured the puking, but only sustained high RPM runs over miles and time will prove such. Is there more to do? Of course. It's always been work in progress, but after 11 years now, I'm not in such a rush as I once was.

And to think I've only took about three pic's of it this year! It looks a lot nicer in the flesh, though I have to admit the TVR has took up a lot of my time (and cash) this past 18 months or so. The Buell is gonna get a bit more when I pull my finger out! Rocket |
