Thanks Steve. Appreciate the effort put in to "organizing" this little event. |

I'm gonna give this place a call and see if they deliver. http://tinyurl.com/ETPIZZAJOINT Spidey had a great idea, and tell them what it's for. The least they'll do is give us a break on the $$$. |

I've emailed the factory to see if there is a grill on site. If not...we have a large Weber gas grill I might be able to wedge in the bed of the truck with the Uly and the M2L. |

We're up to about 56 now. If you haven't accounted for yourself in the "Roll Call" thread please do so. Lets go for 100! |

Let's do some math here, There are 180 employees, right? Now if each employee only eats 3 slices that's 540 slices. Divided by 8 that's 67.5 pizzas. Now, if the 75 or so people on the ride want pizza, that's another 275 slices which comes out to 34.375 additional pizzas, call it 34.5. Add that to the 67.5, and that's 102 pizzas. I don't know how expensive pizza is in Wisconsin, but if the people on the ride are paying, would they be willing to kick in $10 - $15 bucks apiece to feed the elves? (and themselves) Oh; don't forget beverages... |

I will be finding out the entire details tomorrow. I'm going to ask the Pizza place what they think will feed 250 people. I'm sure they will want the $$ up front. And quite frankly, I don't currently have that kind of cash on hand to give them. So we're going to most likely do a paypal thing to fund this effort. Or ask Hals for some help. Which I'm not 100% comfortable doing. I wont yet give up on the hope of having enough grills. That would be FAR cheaper IMHO. And easier to do on the fly, $$$ wise. I can take a collection up the morning of, and those of us with Ulys take a grocery store run to pick up stuff. Another thing we could do, is a Subway party subs. We'd still need 6 x 12 foot subs. But that comes to nearly $800! Dunno if Pizza would be cheaper or not. And that ISN'T including drinks. I'm more than happy to help the logistics of this all. But I don't want to be stuck holding the bag. I just can't afford it this month. |

I'm in for $20 for sure. If they need $ upfront Steve let me know I can cover it as long as there is enough interest in feeding the Elves at $20 or so. |

Steve, I feel your pain man. I am kind of liking the grilling idea. I think it is a bit more of a personal message of thanks to the Buell employees. But either way I am willing to commit time, $, and Uly cargo space to the effort. |

I'll have have the wife also go to SAM's Club tomorrow and check on the price of burger patties(I don't think we want to sit there and make patties), buns, brats, condiments, cheese, etc.... |

Looking more and more like I won't make it. I think this cold is the flu. Every day I feel worse so I haven't crested yet and departure time is looming. I've missed 2 days of work already. If I can't make it, I'll send my cards and send Steve some $$ to help. Crap timing, wife says it's "a sign"...pffffft Time for a Vicodin and a shot of Turkey. Zack |

Once a month we have a cookout at my workplace. To feed 50 people it takes three grills cooking for an hour and a half (make sure you have enough Propane!), plus people making a supermarket run to get things like rolls, condiments, plates, drinks, Potato salad, chips, etc. It's a pretty good amount of work for a bunch of people. (don't forget about cleaning up!) Just make sure you have enough grills, or some folks won't get to eat lunch until supper time. The good news is that even if only 50 people show up,and they kick in $20 each, that'll total $1,000. That will buy a lot of burgers, dogs, soda and chips. |

Something I have done for my corporate customers in the past for a christmas gift program to feed 40 is a Subway platter. You could do a mix and match Pizzas and subs. I would bet most of the larger chains would accept cards over the phone. Maybe a couple folks would have a card they are not using and could collect it back at the event. Sams, Walmarts, and most larger grocery stores make giant party subs also. Out of 250 there will likely be a couple people that avoid or don't like pizza. |

Zac, if you got the time off... Then just drive if you're sick. Nobody will blame you. We're just all getting over a bout with the flu ourselves. And for everyone else that can't make it. I'll do a ton of pics, and some video and post it up for all to see. Same thing if the media makes it. Crusty, thanks for the tips. I wonder if Gus's caters? Hmmm.... This may be a bit more than we are capable of handling ourselves. I've talked to Budc at Hals about this. He thinks we're all nutz. But will ask Sharon at Hals what they would do for 250 people. |

Talked to Brian(Tatooedandscrewed) He knows the Gus, the owner of Gus's in East Troy. Gus can't handle that size of party, but knows who can, and will contact them tomorrow. So thru the grapevine of contacts we locals have, we'll see what we can get done. I'll post more info when I get it. |

If you guys set up a fund for feeding the Elves, those of us who can't make it CAN kick in some $$ for our friends, the Elves. |

As Steve said, I tried to hit up Gus on Steve's request but he is 12 days from closing for the season - he was actually considering doing something for Buell on his last day open. But tomorrow I will be getting a call back from him in regards to what the East Troy locals can come up with, the idea on the plate right now is pizza and chicken, and from the sounds of it, it will most likely happen, they might even be able to help out with the cost as well since they too are affected by this. So it might just end up being a monetary donation to make this happen. I will know more tomorrow and will get back to Steve on it. So don't run out and buy up food and grilling goods just yet, it looks like it will be taken care of, let's just keep our fingers crossed. It's amazing the reach of this !! The affect that Buell has had on all us owners. Obviously us locals feel the hit pretty hard but from what I have observed - EVERYONE is feeling this and the support from people everywhere is absolutely amazing. As a fellow Bueller and friend to many Buell riders and a few Buell employees, I want to throw a thank you out there to everyone ! You guys are top notch !! Zac, I could definitely drive easier than ride, prolly take the wife's car since it's faster, I'd have to get more Buell stickers (to match my tank) made for it though, she wouldn't let me put them on before! Still working on the details time off looks okay but arrangements at home still need sorting, still, maybe pick I can you up on the way? Oh, I got my flu shot last week and will get the H1N1 shot this week so I should be mostly safe as a travel companion, and hopefully by the wekend you'll be feeling a bit better... Really want to add the "barfshower" clip art but think it's probably really poor taste |

Just re-read his email to me from last week... "The production employees are usually off around 2 PM." That statement makes me think they are off layoff currently until the end of the month. |
