Can we get a "Roll Call" thread for this ride? |

Well, everyone should be relieved - it looks like my wife Kim can come with me. You won't be subject to me alone. Court, you should be thrilled I'm sending you an email with a couple logistical questions... |

Maybe a Roll Call would be easier on Facebook? Barker, can you get this posted as an event on the BadWeb group page? Whichever case, I'm now officially in. If anyone's interested in doing a Twin Cities group ride-out (or trailer-out if freezing rain or some other stupid weather is forecast), I've got a thread posted at the top of the Minnesota & W. Wisconsin Storm Fronts page: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 505537 |

Methed, Glad my Uly will be sending the factory folks off. Wish I could be there with it. |

I'm supposed to show up with some classic Buells at my dealer on the 25th for a 2010 calender shoot. What shall I do? I will be at Hal's on Monday, but can't make Saturday. Bummer. |

This seems to be growing by leaps and bounds. We've contacted some local TV and Radio stations to get some media on the event as well. I may need some help, especially if the weather is nice. The *FUN* route to the factory is somewhat convoluted. But, fun... So who else in the group that is coming here has a GPS? That I can send a GPX, or Garmin route to that can help me lead this ride? |

Steve - got a Garmin here. Don't know the roads that well and will have Kim on the back seat of the Uly, so we'll be more...um..."sedate" than I usually am, but I can help out as sweep or something if needed. |

Steve, I'm thinking I'll be coming up on Friday or Saturday. I can lend a hand with whatever needs to be done. |

Also, let me add something... Kirk, the owner of Hals has concern that this will turn in to an HD bashing party. On behalf of everyone here, we've assured him this will NOT be the case. Please don't let me down. Hals HD/Buell is one of the finest dealerships around. They still are, and will continue to support Buell above and beyond what most dealers ever have. If you're intent is to bash HD for their board of director's poor decision(IMHO), please don't bother to come. There is far more to HD than the Board, and their CEO. Quite honestly, I don't think I've had been working much that past 6 months without HD and Buell. And I continue to receive work from HD. Lets keep this event as tribute, and celebration, and leave the negativity at home. |

BTW, I just discovered where "Dry Dock Saloon" is located, it's 2.6 miles west of Hwy 59 on Grass Lake Road in Antioch. I knew that bar as another name even though I've never been there before, I'm going on Saturday night to see Erik & the Thunderbolts. |

Is anyone riding out from near Massachusetts? I'm considering going but it's too damn far and too damn cold to be that miserable alone. |

Agreed. I have no problems with Hals or even most people at HD. Several of my close friends ride HD and are almost as upset as I am. On a related note, another guy I work with just sold his Gsxr so he could buy a new 1125r in the spring. He is also pissed. |

+100 Steve. Hals is being very generous to help us here. This needs to be a positive thing. Lets just celebrate Buell and leave the negativity out of it. |

Hey Crusty, sorry to hear your not going to be able to make it for the October 26th ride, but I understand. I was looking forward to seeing you again and was going to tell you I went last Friday and saw the new Motto Guzzi Norge at a local dealer. It was a 2009 model, silver color and sure was a nice looking motorcycle! Felt comfortable sitting on it too, but didn't test ride it. You take care and we'll see you next summer at the 2010 Buell Homecoming! Don |

For anyone interested. The GPX contains 3 routes. Boring Buell factory ride takes approximately 35 minutes. Fun Buell factory ride takes approximately 55 minutes. funnest buell factory ride takes 2 hours and 5 minutes.

I'm all for the short boring ride.... Our little group will have just rode about 500 miles to get there. We will be looking a 500 mile ride in the eye when we leave the Buell parking lot... Plus there is a 60% chance of sunshine.... just my 2 pennies |

So do we have a finalized plan for the Monday festivities? I know meet at Hal's at 10, and then to the factory, but are we still doing the BBQ for the factory workers, etc? |

IF we can get some grills there. I'd say Yes. We can take up a collection to pick up brats and burger meat in the morning of the 26th. |

The ONLY problem I see with this whole plan is cooking for about 150+ people. I think this is a larger undertaking than most people think. It certainly gonna take more than a single grill. |

What about a local pizza joint? Have them deliver 25-30 or so pizzas. Sure we may be able to get a deal on that many and no cooking. Just a thought. |
