I found this interesting, I thought I would share. My NineR has always been known as Scarlet, but the uly has not had a name that stuck, and now we have a 1125R. She said last nite: "That one is walle and that one is eve" How true. Orange Uly as walle: Old school, round eyes, kinda slow and steady, humble, more utilitarian, lots of character. Can roll over alotta terrain. You would not know it by looking at it, but it is a special machine, lots of storage in its case(s). Colors match-up too. White 1125R as eve: High tech, fast, powerful, sleek, quick to react, newest generation, both have pods/arms, color match up well too.

Mine is "Ivan" named after "Ivan Danko," the character Schwarzenegger played in "Red Heat." Should be simple enough to figure out how I came up with that name. |

I got to uncrate my 1125R, it was the first to be sold in the state. As I pulled off the protective plastic on the fairing, I stopped, took 2 steps back and said "Hello Loretta!" She was the first 1125R i saw in person and the huge chest and low-cut top made her the easiest to name. Z |

"Pearl" - Black 1125R like Old Dog was thinking. Pearl is also my flesh and bones sweetheart's nickname so that makes it easy to have both loves with the same name. |

When I laid eyes on my Racing Red Lightning...the words to that old Rod Stewart song popped up...."Red lips, hair and fingernails...I hear she's a mean old Jezebel".... Mine is Jezebel |

My daughter named my orange Uly "Big Dog". She even made me a parking space sign. |

2007 Blast - "Miranda" Miranda was the name of my first girlfriend. The blast was my first bike.. Fun while it lasted and a great learning experience, but it didn't take long before I wanted to move on 2000 X1 - "Sandra" Just after I bought this one, some friends paid for me to get on stage at the "Playhouse" in Council Bluffs, IA. I had bruises the next morning from getting whipped so hard. Being a relatively new rider, I figured Sandra was an appropriate name since she has plenty of potential to whip my ass if I get too brave with her.
2002 X1 - "Betty" When I bought her, she was dressed in black so this just started out as Black Betty. Now I just call her Betty for obvious reasons..
2009 XT - "Silver" I've wanted an XT ever since demo riding one last March. After the news on 15OCT09, I figured that getting this one for such a good price was sort of my silver lining in an otherwise dark cloud. Can't wait to get her broken in so I can wheelie after yelling, "Hi-ho Silver, AWAY!" |
