Everyone before me have already said everything I would so I'll simply say Thank you.

There just isn't any other company (family) that comes even remotely close to being comparable to you.

Thank you all for everything and I hope that you and everyone bounces back better than before all this happened.

You guys provided the fire.
We shall carry the flame.

One of things that I'm amazed by, and to be honest, sometimes troubled by(my wife is actually always troubled by this) is that whenever I walk into the garage I have to take a look at my bike. First when it was a M2 and now with the 9r, regardless of what state it's in I'm amazed at the art, the science, and the passion that goes into them. For that alone(there'd be lots more but my hands don't work so well after playing football for 12 yrs of my life) I want to say thanks!

Lori,

Can you do me a huge favor and have someone get the mail out of the mailbox on Monday AM?

I drove up and dropped two special cards in the mail box, no postage since I delivered, lol. =)

Lori,
Thank you very much. Its good to here from someone who helped produce such great bikes. When I think back through the years of Buell ownership one thing stands out.

The People.

And that will never change. I will always be a Buell owner. And look forward to riding My S1 every chance I get. I am currently looking forward to my next purchase. A new XB12R, Its waiting for me at the dealership. I always wanted one and just kept telling myself - one of these days. I just never thought HD would pull the plug on such a great bike. There really is nothing else like it period. However I don`t know where we will ever get the support like we got from Buell. Surely not from HD.

I don`t think they ever understood the customers that bought Buells. I wonder if they ever understood the Bikes them selves.

I can`t tell you how many times I would just go and hang out in my garage and just stare at the Bikes. Funny thing is that it just never got old. And I look forward to doing the same thing with the XB12R.

Erik B.
A special thanks for building some of the most fantastic bikes I have ever ridden. I still have my first S1. Man oh man that thing can get you you into trouble. Wheelies, Burn outs, Knee dragging Trouble. I still enjoy every minute of it. What a hooligan machine.

Once again THANKS to everyone at Buell.

S1Eric

lori, thanks for posting. Im so sorry for you as well as the rest of the elves. I would like you to know how much I love my 05 CityX. I owned a couple other bikes before and totaled only a couple thousand miles over several years. Ive put 20K on my Buell in less that 2 years. I just cant stop riding it. (only failure to date has been a clutch cable) I love it so very much.

Im hoping and praying Eric can pull a rabbit out of the hat. This cant be the end. It just doesnt feel like the end. I wish you and all the elves the very best. Hope to see you all on the 26th.

Lori B,
Geez, there's been so many posts here on the web since the day HD dropped the bomb Ive hardly had time to read them all, much less put in my .02 worth...
My Buell is my "Daily Ride" wherever I go, whatever I do, from grocery shopping to tearing up the Redwood Hiway just for the sake of killing bugs and narrowing my chicken strips, my Buell does it all, rain or shine! I don't have to walk out to the garage to gaze fondly at my Cyclone, He sits in the living room...I've got 66,000 miles and about a million smiles out the Black so far, and plan to add many more of both, even if I add an 1125 to my stable, I'll find it impossible to part with my tuber.
I just want to say thanks to all the gang, and encourage you all to keep on keepin on, and someday soon, Buell Motor Company will be back better than ever!!
God bless you all.

Lori,
A personal thanks from me to you and the rest of the Elves. I don't think I can improve or add much to whats already been said here.
To give you a bit of flavor as to what Buell means, even my neighbors are upset!
Most don't even ride motorcycles! They have however seen the immense enjoyment they have given me, my family and so many others that have stopped by our home with their Buells.

BTW, Court thanks for posting Lori's picture. I do remember her from past factory visits. She IS one of the cute Elves!

Lori, I absolutly love the sweatshirt you are wearing in the above picture.
S2's forever!

Thanks much for popping in and sharing your thought with the rest of us. It is very much appreciates.

Brad

Lori-

"So the thing to do when working on a motorcycle, as in any other task, is to cultivate the peace of mind which does not separate one's self from one's surroundings. When that is done successfully, then everything else follows naturally. Peace of mind produces right values, right values produce right thoughts. Right thoughts produce right actions and right actions produce work which will be a material reflection for others to see of the serenity at the center of it all."

Robert M. Pirsig

I own the first Buell, an '05 CityX, sold in Mur-vil TN. I was the "Buell guy" at Smoky Mountain HD/BUELL. Thanks so much for your good work.

May the future rise up and meet you at the apex of your favorite curve, the crest of a beautiful hilltop, always on the back wheel of your Buell.

Lori,

After getting a bit soured on the brand as a result of problems with my Ulysses (one of the early ones), circumstances brought me be back into the Buell fold this afternoon when I purchased a new XB12SS.

In spite of the issues I had in the past, I have never found another motorcycle that rewarded me with the visceral feel that a Buell does.

I bought the Buell this afternoon because I could not tolerate the possibility that the option to do so would not be available to me in the future. I wanted to secure something that reflects the best of who we are as a people -- innovation, passion, and fun.

I also suspect that it is the one bike capable of reigniting my passion for riding that has waned the last couple of years.

Good luck to all of you and thanks!

Brad (the other one)

Thank You Lori B.
Thank You Elves.
Thank You Erik.

My first Buell was an 03 Firebolt I bought in 04.
It was a year old and had 300 miles on it.
Best motorcycle I ever rode, until I got my 1125R.

You folks have changed a lot of lives for the better with the love and effort y'all put in each machine that rolled out of East Troy.

Y'all make sure Erik has your phone numbers, so he can get you all back together in a new venture.

Thank You ALL, Soooo much

Zack

* Coming down with a chest cold; if it doesn't kill me, I'll see you all in a week.

"Anonymous Posted on Saturday, October 17, 2009 - 10:25 pm:

Lori, like all of her fellow elves, ROCKS! It's more than a machine, it's a passion that is felt by every single one of them. We have been a close-knit family, a high performing team focused on one thing: Customers. This will hurt the most, knowing that we may never be together again, supporting this iconic brand and "living the dream" each and every day."

Thanks to everyone at BMC. I'm taking the XB12R out for a ride like I do "each and every day."

We enjoyed everything Buell. Thank you and all at Buell for the years of enjoyment we've already had, and the ones to come.

I hope everyone can come out of this even better in the end.

Lori, thank you for being there, for doing not just your job but your passion!
I owned a 2002 X1W (With blue ceramic coated pipes) she was my favorite bike, until I now own a 2008 1125r.
Both are not just motorcycles but extensions of ones personality, thank you.
Too bad my personality doesn't have quality control before it released on humankind!
Nathan
Again, Thank you!

Again, Thank you!!

Lori:

Honestly, I've been avoiding BWB most of the week. I was saddened to learn that a company and its employees that I have come to admire was getting shut down. I bought my first Buell in 2007, it was about three months into owning my Ulysses that I wrote to Erik and expressed the pure joy of owning that bike. Today, three other Ulysses owners came over to my house and all three of us installed the new comfort kit on our bikes. I surveyed my driveway and saw four Buells and two BMWs parked there (only three belonged to my wife and I), I also realized that if I ever had to downsize my collection my BMW RT would be the bike to go, not the Buell.

I wish you and all your coworkers the best, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you folks did (and will continue to do) for those of us who chose an awesome motorcycle built by passionate people, and ridden by passionate people.

Thank you!

Wayne

Lori,

Sorry that I haven't responded to the text message you sent informing me of the situation. I'd already heard the news shortly before receiving it and quite frankly I needed some time to decompress and let the news sink in. It's only been a few days since the announcement and honestly I haven't fully decompressed and the news hasn't fully set in yet. I know none of this can compare to how you and the rest of the elves feel right now.

You, as well as a significant number of the elves currently at Buell, know how much Buell has been - scratch that - is, and will continue to be, an influence in my life (as it is with everyone else on this board). I have nothing but the utmost respect for everyone at Buell, and truly appreciate the influence you and everyone else has made in making Buell a world class motorcycle and a world class motorcycle manufacturer. My travels to Germany have shown me how revered the brand is outside of the United States.

Honestly I don't have the time right now to address everything that I would like to on this, but everyone at Buell can take faith in knowing that there's a lesson that I learned a little over 7 years ago. And that lesson is:
There is life after Buell!
I sure wish that none of you had to learn this lesson under the current circumstances, but it is a fact. The experience, judgment, knowledge and wisdom that you all have gained at Buell will truly make you an asset to your next employer!

With my deepest understanding and highest regards,
1313
