I know its probably Internet BS but has anyone heard any new news about Yamaha showing interest in Buell?. If anyone should take Buell over It should be Yamaha. Love them or hate them you have to admit , in the japanese bike industry they have been the innovators . Yamaha has made just about all the major break thoughs . Single shock rear suspensions ,aluminum I beam frames, 5 valve heads , cross plain cranks ect . All yamaha, the rest just followed suit . |

I don't think HD will allow Buell to be sold because of the patents they have to give to whatever company that buys Buell. Thats what I heard |

I got a good feeling Buell will be back within 2 years. talking to HD sale people they know that Buell is the inovaor part of their company, but they also know that there are still alot of HD dealers have hav no clue of what they have in their showrooms. |

If i had to bet i would say Can-Am would probably be a prospective interest in buell. They are one of the biggest consumers of rotax engines (ie skidoo). Now brp owns ski-doo ,can-am and with the new can-am spyder i could see Erik Buell being sought after by them. They are doing some pretty radical stuff. Hate to se them split with HD. |

There's a Buell article (saw here in another post) that said they have unconfirmed reports that Eric went up to Canada to meet with Can-Am... A Kneesliders article said he hasn't responded to that local business groups request for a meeting - dated the 21st. (Message edited by daveswan on October 24, 2009) |

I wonder if Polaris would be willing to buy Buell? Just a thought. |
