I'm curious as to who is buying all of the discounted Buells. Everyone that I personally know of buying one, is a return customer who already owns at least one other Buell. Have any dealers seen new customers come in and take advantage of these slashed prices? I'm thrilled to know that true Buell enthusiasts are getting the bikes that they know and love, but it would also be cool to know that the permagrin experience is being spread to riders who are new to the brand. | ||

I'd be willing to bet that 1/2 the customers that were dealing with Hals on these were NEW customers. | ||

I Know of some new customers. More than likely people who have always admired Buell, now it is there last chance @ a great price. | ||

I sold one today to a friend of mine who has admired Buells from afar since I've known him. "He enjoys riding with Buell people" and "has never met a Buell rider who couldn't ride". He is trading in an RC51 on a 2008R. As a V-Twin guy, he was already halfway there. Now, he's come home. He lives in Murfreesboro, so I know he'll be near a great dealer who will provide him first rate service into the foreseeable future. | ||

I think we have 4 or 5 customers looking to step up to an 1125R or CR. Some are existing "family" members to Liberty; some are new to the fold. And we're holding to uphold the brand, and not give them away. I believe all involved are happy with the deals made so far. It's just a shame that it took this cataclysm to make this happen. | ||
