This is kinda, sorta almost like our wishes coming true. We all have bemoaned the fact that the (Most)H-D dealership/corporate cluture is what was keeping Buell from being what it should be with its sales.

Life in America is changing, our economy is in a turmoil, the old rules of corporate America are gone, the rules of the new owners(China) now apply, Walmart mentality prevails.

When Erik Buell began it was a cottage industry, He will rebound and flourish and we will benefit from something better.

Our immediate needs are met, parts and accessories, a very limited supply of replacement bikes.

Time will tell what becomes of this, stay positive, think outside the box, that is what made Erik Buell the success he is today.

+1

Some coworkers today (also riders) were curious as to why I've been talking about the Buell news with such enthusiasm. It's because getting away from HD opens the door to a whole new world of possibilities!

Buell has seen tough times before and I have no doubt in my mind that they will rise from the ashes, probably sooner than any of us expect.

I mean if the company was started in a barn with practically nothing but a vision and a lot of passion, what's preventing it from starting over with a good solid base of street- AND race-proven technologies that WORK! The passion is still there, the desire is still there. The only thing I see holding Buell back at the moment are the remaining ties to HD. Someone out there with the right combination of heart and cash can make this work!
