I went and picked a new 08 1125R with the side panel bodywork for $5400 out the door. My brother in law, that is a Suzuki fan, picked up a 09 out the door for $6000. The dealers phone was ringing off the hook with calls from all over the country and Canada. Selling bikes over the phone by credit card. It was nuts...and very sad to see. |

Rocco... You suck (I mean that in the nicest way). If I hadn't just bought a new truck, I'd be at the dealership. Where did you get your bikes? Ukes, Hals, ??? |

3 guys from my office went with me to pick up my 1125 CR today. All three purchased 09 1125R's for $7200 out the door. I was hesitant to put it up on the board, as I was flamed the last time I posted about my CR. |

Wow. I can't see where you NOT buying these bikes would help anyone. Hey, maybe the sooner inventory is cleared out, the sooner they'll let Erik move on to something new.

Damn, well they'll be sold out soon enough. I haven't gone to the dealer I talked to yet. Just know the numbers probably won't be as good considering he never mentioned them on the phone. Congrats to both of you. |

I've changed my mind since last night. It's a good thing these bikes are going to good owners. If I could afford it I would consider getting one too. |

Dennis, I picked it up at Uke's And as a side note, the owner of Uke's and Erik are good friends. He helped out Erik in the begining, from my understanding, in many ways. They will continue to support the bikes. They have a Museum in the store with 6 Buell ranging through the year including one of the first 9R's and 1125's which they have no intention on selling. Lot's of H-D sucked with they way they handled Buell. Uke's was not one of those dealers. slowride, don't sweat it. Some one will buy the bikes. Better they go to guys that appreciate them. |

"Just know the numbers probably won't be as good considering he never mentioned them on the phone." The number I was told on the phone last night is the number that I paid this morning. I had plans to finance through my own bank, but the HD financing turned out to be one helluva bargain with the "Hard to Say No" deal. |

Rocco, you purchased that 1125R at Ukes with the lower fairing? That was a great looking bike! Buell should make all of the 1125R's with that fairing set-up, it makes the bike look much better. I saw that and fell in love with it. They have a Museum in the store with 6 Buell ranging through the year including one of the first 9R's and 1125's which they have no intention on selling. the vin number on that XB9R is #7 and the new 1125R with the plastic packing still on it is vin #000001. No chance of buying either of those bikes! |

Sheeeittt. If I buy one, it'll mean missing almost a half year of racing in 2010. Now, it is really too late to HELP support Buell so I'll likely let it ride and keep running the trusty XB airhead. |

i went to my local dealer today to see if they were discounting their in stock bikes, no such luck, the buell specialist said, "we are going to raise our prices, they are collector items." i asked him what he thought about the announcement, he said, "doesn't bother me, that's what they get for going water-cooled!" WTF!!! |

Sleeze, I would have just told the salesman, "you're too stupid to deserve my business anyhow". The wife and I are going to Hals tomorrow drool, and think of a way we can afford a new lobsta' |

Another Buell rider here near OKC called a dealer in AR looking for a CR.. THIS MORNING that dealer had no idea that Buell was closing up shop. The salesman got a little offended when my buddy suggested that he sell a CR for $5900 |

Rocco: Killer buy . . . you can could on support from Uke's 20 years down the road. Top drawer folks. I used to ride over from Topeka to do Buell demos there in the mid 90's. Well done. |

I already posted this in one of the zillion threads created since the news broke that BuellMoCo will hopefully transition into ErikCo but this seems the right spot. I bought a new 09 XB12XP yesterday minus the police lights and siren (although I tried to keep them). The Uly comes with the hard luggage and got it for $8600. The other Uly was sold by the time I got to SD HD even though it had been sitting on the floor for months. My 06 Uly rolled over 20K last weekend up in Sequoia National Park at the American Sport Bike Customer Appreciation Event so I figured it was a good time to reset the odometer. I plan on selling the 06 Uly after Buell inventory has cleared through the HD chain. Now IS the time to pick up a Buell to wait out the transition of WhatsNext. I am as sad as everyone but now I will be able to see the Buell logo for a longer time as I carve turns in SoCal. Thank you, Erik, for making the most fun motorcycles in my life. I just checked the online inventory at Thundertower HD/Buell near Columbia, SC. You can buy a 2008 1125R cheaper than a 2009 Blast. |

I'm waiting for a call back from a "local" dealership. When I spoke with them on Friday, they hadn't received the neccessary discount paperwork from H-D. I can't afford a new bike right now but.... |

The closest dealer to me is only doing $2500 off MSRP. But there are 4 1125CR's within driving distance where the dealer is offering $5000 off... about $7700 out the door they said. I debated about it all weekend. On one hand I REALLY WANT a CR... on the other I don't really NEED a CR. My XB9S is a great motorcycle and does everything I need. I don't NEED another 50hp, it would only get me in trouble on the street and I'm not using 100% of the XB on the track... yet. Plus I get about double the gas mileage with the XB. However, I know Ashley's going to want to upgrade from the Blast before too long and when she does I will probably give her the 9 and I'll want an 1125. I don't know what to do!! |

There's also the thought that I could do a helluva lot of work on my S2T, which is wasting away under a cover, with $7K. |

Man, you guys are killin' me! Getting all these good deals on 1125's.... as bad as I want to, I just CAN'T get one! My wife leaves her job at the end of the month to stay home with our baby, and my household income is going to drop by 1/3. Rats! Double rats! However, I guess I'll actually have more fun with a baby, so I shouldn't complain too much. ~SM |
