at least not from Superbikeplanet but even as much as they hated Buell they can't help but see pain. http://superbikeplanet.com/2009/Oct/091015erikb12. htm It would take a cold heart to be indifferent watching a man announce that his dream has just died. |

Yea, I noticed that too. That's the closest Adams ever came to having a nice word for Buell or his motorcycles. |

No, he is still a jackass.... http://superbikeplanet.com/image/2009/motogp/estor il/L/SE5K1744.htm "Stick a fork in the two-strokes. They're (almost) done. Kind of like Buell." |

eh, didn't catch that.... I guess the sliver of sympathy for Buell was really wafer thin. |

There is one good reason that Road Racing World is THE go-to resource for moto news... and the name of that reason is Adams. |

Here's what the "haters", Japanese fan boys had to say from my lil area: "More like a crushed man who poured his heart, soul, and engineering capabilities into his company for years." "This is sad. I never thought much of Buell until working with RMR/Bruce Rossmeyer/GEICO Team this past season. The Buell guys are a great bunch of dedicated people, enthusiastic about the product they built and put on the road. I learned a lot about the company and it's employees this past season and wish them the best." "I didn't that one coming either, he started that co. with less that $100,000 if I remember right. I feel bad for the man, that was his passion and dreams to built these motorcycles." "Erik Buell should hold his head high and be proud. He took a dream and made it into reality and turned a company into a success. He also took the time and made that announcement himself. He could have just diapered and said nothing but he sat there and told the world that they were closing. I would buy a bike from him for no other reason than his character. I am sure that this is not the last we will see of him. A person with that much drive and determination will never gust walk softly into the future. Good luck to all the Buell employees." "While I wasn't a big fan on the Buell bike, I respected what they did and how they treat people. Erik Buell poured his heart into a prayer that he could take it farther. It was an American built bike and all you could do is wish they put out a great product to compete. Yeah, he looks like when my first dog died but maybe worse." Nice to see a good community spirit, even if people do smack talk Buell they all can recgonize its importance and the impact the loss has had on its staff and riders. Tell ya what though, I'mma keep riding mine until they run out of parts. Then I'll get engineering degree and make the parts myself if I have to. (Message edited by b00stzx3 on October 16, 2009) |

It's just a pipe dream...but wouldn't it be amazing for every single team in Daytona this weekend to either forfeit, "fail" tech, or somehow DNF as a tribute to Erik? Let him have this race. |

Somehow I don't think Erik would want to win that way. |
