Just thought if anyone wanted to represent and tell their opinion about the closing of Buell, they can meet Keith Wandell at the Lima Ohio Harley Dealer. visit www.limahd.com for details... |

Kieth Wandell is the CEO of Harley Davidson. Nothing to do with a dealer. |

Well I get what you're saying, but it is the CEO Of Harley Davidson, not the CEO of the dealership. Just thought it was interesting that he is making public appearances so close to the closing of Buell. And you know that they will just say that the closing had to be done, because of profit losses. They are probably prepared for a few Buell riders to show up. |

You want to get there early. The fashion show starts at 10:20. Probably be out of donuts after that!

Honestly, reaming him won't accomplish anything other than make him happy he doesn't have to deal with Buell riders anymore. Be respectful, and ask hard questions such as, "why would HD drop the Buell line when they were making great strides on the world stage and gaining in popularity?" "Did Harley Davidson offer Erik and his employees the same deal AMF offered Harley back in the 80's? Where they given a chance to buy back their company?" Things such as that. Don't just say, "Harley sucks!" or "You're stupid!". Be smart, engage him, and make him give you answers or look like a fool when it's stammering and studdering and tap dancing around the question. |

You would just get the posers panties in a knot. I don't think the Lima police would be kind to any Buelligans. |

Mr. Wandell is a smart and seasoned person. Being rude serves no one. But I can see it . . .
quote:Mr. Wandell: "Court, we've reconsider. I think the Buell decision was made based on poor advise from ill motivated folks with personal axes to grind. Can you go to Erik and get him to reconsider? Court: I said that I would see you because I had heard that you were a serious man, to be treated with respect. But I must say no to you and let me give you my reasons. It's true I have a lot of friends at Buell, but they wouldn't be so friendly if they knew my business was chrome and chaps instead of serious performance which they consider a necessary virtue. But chrome, that's a dirty business.

If you plan on going, make your reservation via e-mail or phone. Info is on their home page. I just sent an e-mail RSVP, we'll see if they have a spot for me. It's only 3 hours from Cleveland. We need to formulate some plans... We've seen the past, let's make the future! |

OK! We should use the power and vast knowledge of Badweb to create a few excellent questions. Then hopefully we can get a few 'representatives' in on the meeting to ask away. I wish I could get to the meeting. But I have a 5k race Saturday morning, and work all afternoon. |

"Chrome... that's a dirty business..." Classic! Where the heck did you dig that one up Court? I've been reading Neal Stephenson (System of the world), and you could have lifted that quote right out of the book... |

That's the famous quote . . .
quote:Don Corleone: Why come to me? What have I done to deserve such generosity? Sollozzo: If you consider a million dollars in cash merely finance... [raises his glass] Sollozzo: Te salut, Don Corleone. [the Don gets up to take a drink and sits closer to Sollozzo] Don Corleone: I said that I would see you because I had heard that you were a serious man, to be treated with respect. But I must say no to you and let me give you my reasons. It's true I have a lot of friends in politics, but they wouldn't be so friendly if they knew my business was drugs instead of gambling which they consider a harmless vice. But drugs, that's a dirty business. Sollozzo: No, Don Corleone... Don Corleone: It makes no difference, it don't make any difference to me what a man does for a living, you understand. But your business is a little dangerous. Sollozzo: If you're worried about security for your million, the Tattaglias will guarantee it.
Just seemed perfect . . |
