My Mom e-mailed me this morning and I told her I've been emotional since yesterday because we are now riding discontinued bikes. She said "Well, just think how lucky you are that you have had that experience and that you have their bikes." Don't burn the bridge too fast you all lets see what happens and stick together I love my Mom! |

+1, we are VERY lucky to have experienced Buells. Something to tell our grandkids one day, about there once being a great American sportbike company, the dedication of the workers and riders, the legendary Harley-sounding crotchrocket haha. |

>>>I love my Mom! I do too. I got an irate "what the hell were they thinking" e-mail from my 79 year old Mother yesterday. Dad died in 2000 but he always had a soft spot for Erik. One of my favorite photos is the two of them huddled at a picnic table talking "business" back in 1995. Dad admired Erik's spirit. Parents have keen insights. EDIT: Hahaha . . good catch. No, Dad did not die in 200. (Message edited by court on October 16, 2009) |

Dad died in 200 You are kinda exposing your age there aren't you? Heard you likened to Moses in one thread. Hmmmm? Some truth to that? |

I for one am happy to have had, are "am still enjoying" the Buell experience. My M2 was MY start and as I have stated in my profile "thanks Erik for something I tried to build in the 70's" I fell short but Erik made it happen. Love 'ya Erik. Now as I ride my 1125R almost every weekend I will stay thankful and just ride it into my personal sunset. Like everything I have had a personal experience with I am eternally thankful to have had that time together and I am at peace with the world. Bob |
