Hell 2 months for me! Not that I care, just came back from my dealer, something about a blue XB9SX.... |

What would you sue for? Thinking off the top of my head - breach of contract. A warranty is a contract You can sue anyone for anything. Can you find an attorney willing to take a case?..not always. Can a case be thrown out before it even begins?...sure....but I can sue you. However, after further research at my friendly neighborhood HD dealer, I don't believe warranty claims will be an issue. |

>>>breach of contract. A warranty is a contract That' correct. But to sue for breach . . . we'll you'll need something that looks like breach. Never happen. |

Downtown Harley/buell south of Seattle will keep selling and servicing Buells. They have many on the showroom and are discounting now. Salesguy Gary told me that he was surprised like everyone else about this turn of events. |

The good dealers, I'm sure will continue to sell parts, and service the bikes. For me, I just put a deposit down on an '09 Lobsta' |

I today got confirmation from the President of my local dealer (Lakeland Harley/Buell) that they have signed up to remain being one of the Buell dealers. Big relief for me....they are good folks by and large, and they are only 15 miles away. I hung out and chatted with all the guys there for a while today...they were all as blind sided was we were with the news. While I was there, one guy bought a new CR AND an new 1125R...they say they have access to more bikes that they say are currently being transported either from other dealers that are bailing out on Buell, or new units from some other source. They also confirmed that the rumor of Hog bankrolling deep retail discounts is true...Hence the dual 1125 sale mentioned above...and one of the salesmen said that they had received calls form several out of town people asking about inventory availability...the assassination has turned into a feeding frenzy. |

ChelleM. I hear what you're saying. You guys put a lot of work into the Buell brand when others didn't. I've orded a few shirts from you guys and got great service. It's got to suck. So for what it's worth thank you and I really hope to still see you hear on bad web. |

Thanks for the kind words. Sometimes I write things when I'm angry or tired and perhaps I shouldn't. But don't worry - you guys can't get rid of me THAT easy. We'll be here for a while. ;P ->ChelleM |

I had a truely wonderful day, today at Zylstra Hareley Davidson/Buell. Woke up to fog and cold, perfect new bike buying weather in Minnesota. Then God smiled on Erik and HD. The sun came out and the temps warmed to the low 50's. Sunshine cost me at least 800 bucks. The arrival of other customers did not help the negotiations at all. But my 08 1125R is paid for and titled. Life is good but not great. It was a really good feeling watching slesmen and customers in a Harley dealer all talking and selling Buells. Bright shiny Buells right up front with people asking questions and getting quotes. I had the first sale since thursday but it looks like there were going to be 5 or 6 more by the endo of day. Two things struck me about today. 1) I always thought Buell sales should be like this at the dealers and could never figure out why no one else seemed to get how wonderful they really are. 2) Did the new marketing company hired by HD/Buell cook this whole thing up to move a lot of product into the market and dominate the motorcycle news during normally slow news cycles. Remember new Coke, killed off the Coca Cola we loved and left swill in its place. Huge screw up for a year but then they crushed Pepsi when our beloved Coca Cola returned. The write off for this Buell termination could be easily paid for out of Harleys advertising budget. Karma was in action big time today, Buell enthusiasm ws higher than I have ever experienced and my favorite motorcycle company is about gone. (Message edited by MadDuck on October 17, 2009) |

Paul, What time were you there? I almost pulled the trigger on the red XT. They had a few too many added in costs for my liking so I walked. Probably going to regret that one... Brad |

Brad, I was there from about 11am toa little after 2pm. Sonny, sales manager, and I go back aways so it was good to catch up again. Crowd really started to arrive about 1:30. I was in back for awhile explaining the wonders of the comfort kit to several of the service techs. Price point seems to have moved into their range and I am pretty sure several of the CRs were being bought from service guys. That red XT is sure lovely and if you want it you need to act fast, Sonny is looking hard and if it goes even a few days more it is probably his. Take Care Paul |
