"1000 Buells at HD Corporate would make a loud statement" Especially if they all have the Force pipe on them that my X1 has |

Court at the risk of facing your wrath who was taking a shot at EB? I've been jumping around but the only hate i saw was directed at HD. |

I really want to see how this all shakes out.... If H-D crushes Buell because it can that's one thing... or If H-D lets them stand on their on two feet... that's another. But it sounds like H-D has just thrown them in the trash..... |

This is terrible. I'm heart-sick at the news and watching Erik break it to the loyal. Words cannot convey how bad I feel for all those involved. The wife & I are leaving tomorrow for a 3 day ride in Arkansas on our Ulys. This sure starts it off on a sour note. I don't know what we could do, but like many others. I want to help. I agree - We should all show up Monday morning in East Troy to show our support & then ride from there to "The Company" to let our voices be heard. (I know they'll say that our voices have already been heard, and that's why they're closing. ie - lack of support / sales) At least do it for Erik & all of the employees of BMC. Let's do it! I can't help but think that Erik will find another way... |

I don't know what to say. I'm in total shock! Do you think this is backlash at Buell for wanting to use Rotax? I mean, why the hell wouldn't they just sell the company instead of pulling the rug from under us? |

Wow. I am really saddened by this and so surprised. I am proud to have been a Buell owner and feel this is such a loss to motorcycling. |

I have the time off, I gots the new bearings... A MUDDY City-X on the front porch outta make some people upset. And I have been itchen for a lil revolution. Simply speechless. That seals it, I am NEVER selling that bike. Side note, for all you that have replacement value in your insurance policy, make sure you adjust your policy accordingly, since you cant just go buy a new BUELL now. Somnabiatch. Saturn, Pontiac, Buell its been a tough year indeed. |

Ugh, this makes me ill. The fact that I still have to give HD Credit my money every month makes me even more ill. I'm not doing anything right away, but if this sticks I'd be much more happy sending a check to one of the big 4 or ducati. |

I want to buy a new Buell now since i just wrecked mine. Was going to call around today but thought twice since i also would have to go through HD credit... THAT! Not sure what i'm going to do now! |

Court posted some updated/interesting info here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=17&post=1605755#POST1605755 HD explains why they are NOT selling Buell but ARE selling MV Agusta. |

Total shock right now. It really does feel like a death in the family. One thing for sure, if anyone can overcome a situation like this, it's Erik Buell. He's a bright guy, and he has surrounded himself with some brilliant people. |

I read the news today, oh boy... Thanks for fighting for your vision and dream, Mr. Buell. Thank you as well to all who had a hand in putting together the most innovative and enjoyable bike I've ever ridden, seen, or lusted after. My prayers are with you all with the hopes of good days ahead for you and yours. Good luck, and thanks again. |

Doesn't sound right from the man with a 200 year plan. I'm guessing the plan didn't include getting kicked in the nuts by HD. This is Bullsh#t!!!! Not acceptable. Not acceptable. |

Thank You Erik Buell and the Employees of Buell Motorcycle Company for the most fun I have had with my clothes on. Even when My S-1 was sitting on the Rack in My shop waiting for Spring or repairs, I would smile thinking of the times I had and the times to come. I rode that bike when the Weather said that I should not, ....and neither cold nor rain could stop that Grin. I still could Smile through fogged over face shield at the Gutteral sounds eminating and the handling that it Possessed. By far the Greatest Motorcycle I have ever ridden and defended from the Naysayers. People will say what they want, but none of them really understood Buell Motorcycles anyway. I will remember Buell Motorcycles......... Different in Every Sense. Thank You Erik with Love from the Faithful. Jerry white roadcouch98 |

I'm still in shock from this. It really doesn't make sense to just kill off a brand. Why would you just not sell it, minus the H-D engine? Then spend millions to buy out Rotax's contract? Where is the logic? |

This really really really sucks. But... Erik will be free of HD. He's a proven genius. There has to investors out there who'd be willing to go into the motorcycle business with him. Smart investors who can help the company grow rather than snub it. Maybe I live in Fairyland but I absolutely refuse to believe that this is the end of Buell. Goonies err.. I mean Buellers never say die! |

On a side note, I don't think I'll be buying anything HD ever again. I am thoroughly disgusted with them. |

In addition to my XB12X I have owned a 2004 FLSTFI, 2005 FLHRS, and an 2007 XL883R. I will never purchase another HD motorcycle because of what they have done to Erik. To them It may have been "just business" but to him It was everything. Should we have a category added to sign a petition or some other group action? |

Does this explain the removing of "Buell" from the Blast? Is the blast to be produced soley as a rider's Edge progam bike? Did they remove it from Buell so that when They killed Buell they would still have the Blast? |

So in H-D's eyes the Blast was the best of Buell. . . Kinda ironic. More so when you think about a lot of peoples response to the "cubing" of the Blast. It was actually just being asimulated. |

So here I've been, busting my hump all day in the office and looking forward to the ride home... just thought I'd take a gander at BadWeb before taking off, and now I wish I hadn't. This feels like a punch in the gut and it makes me want to vomit. Booo, HD, that's all I can say without resorting to profanity. Booooo. |

My wife was in tears after watching Erik's video. I was close. Truly feels like a death in the family and it really was. You can tell his emotion throughtout the video is not what the video is portraying. We both enjoyed meeting and talking with Erik and others at Homecoming. Can't wait to see what the future holds. |

Hmm, I haven't posted much since I heard they were "idling" the factory for a couple months, because this is exactly what I thought was about to happen. I'm not surprised in the least, this was expected. Sad, but expected. |

This is like my last relationship. All of a sudden I find out it isn't working and was never given a hint that it was over. I spoke with a sales guy ay Hal's just moments ago and he seemed to be suprised as well. Said they were getting a lot of calls regarding $3000 - $5000 incentives and such. Said it was NOT true. though he was talking about $9000 + tax and title on a 09 ss. He said this is a big shock to a lot of the "lower" levels as well. I asked him if this was some sort of PR stunt and he seem honest when he said he did not think so. Just sharing. |

Yes the job-loss is a bad thing and I wish the best to all involved. It might be good to be optimistic here. If they( HD) hold on to the "Brand" they can reintroduce it anytime right? Maybe in a few years when things pick up, or sooner when the error of their ways becomes apparent. Either way I cant believe "Buell" motorcycles are dead forever. |
