To Erik Buell and the East Troy Elves, My heart truly goes out to all of you. Thank you for all of the hard work, innovation and a kick-ass product. I hope that this is the beginning of a new chapter for BMC and not the end. All it takes to remind me of why I love my bike is a push of the start button and to hear the motor come to life. Erik, hearing the pain in your voice and the look of sadness on your face puts a lump in my throat. If the past is any indication, we will overcome. You have an enormous "family" that will be there for you. I hope to one day shake your hand and thank you in person for all the good times you have provided. To the bean counters, share holders and board members at Harley, shame on you. This has got to be the stupidest decision to ever come out of Milwaukee, even worse than the Rocker, V-Rod and all the overpriced Village People leathers. Why, when you have a team that makes the greatest sportbike to come out of America, would you shut them down. It's not as if you've been keeping them afloat with all of your technology. They haven't been dragging you down financially. Your company has done nothing but benefit from the minds and spirit that is Buell. |
