H-D will stand behind current owners and the remaining bikes sold...This is H-D with all there problems cutting back to save money...Causing the only successful American Sportbike company to close up. This is truly the saddest day in American motorcycling history...Please are there any investors out there to keep buell going? |

Well I guess it is my fault. I was devoted to Norton for many yrs they went belly up now as I have become devoted to Buell they to have went by the wayside. I guess I will see what Jap. bike company I want to put out of business and get one of those. It is a sad day for many of us. |

WTF?!?!?!? But he's staying on with H-D? maybe they're just dropping the "brand", and the bikes will fall directly under the H-D name? It just doesn't make sense for H-D to buy MV-A and kill of Buell....? This must have been some last minute decision, what with all the marketing they just flushed down the toilet. ~SM |

Erik looks "really enthusiastic" when he mentions continuing to do development for HD. It was already announced a couple of weeks ago that Erik didn't renew his contract for next year. WTF is right. |

I'm sure he has a contract with HD aand I know he has an office at the PDC. Maybe this will be a push for HD to build a sportbike? Right now I could careless about Harley or anything orange and black. |

Dude...that sucks!! While I haven't bought a new Buell since 1999, I still ride that bike almost all summer long. And my S1W is one of my pride and joys. Farewell and god speed to BMC |

F**K I am so pissed and to think I was looking at a fatbob for 2 up riding. I think I will go to Victory for my cruiser. Can not believe H-D would discontinue an American made motorcycle line...Frick H-D should get rid of the sportster it'a a pile of crap any way...They should crush it just like Erik did with the blast...Maybe he saw this coming and did that to the blast to send a message of things to come. I sure hope some other company steps up and saves Erik's little Sportbike company...Buell finally has been put in the world spot light with the big championship. I think Polaris should take a look at purchasing Buell...Would be perfect for me there is a dealer 15 minutes from my house. |

Unfortunately, the writing was on the wall. I think we just all ignored it. Hopefully some one steps up, but I don't see it happening. Shocked. Kinda sickened. |

I feel really sorry for the employees of Buell. I've got a lot of friends that work there. My condolences go out to all the Buell employees and their families. As of this morning, I was working on a new plastic injection mold for an upcoming Buell model. And we have 4 other tools in here for engineering changes. This kinda threw a wrench in to that work... I was the one that broke the news to the custom molder we were doing the work for. They are shocked. I'm just speechless about the stupidity of this move. |

Harley is also putting MV Agusta on the market. It makes NO sense. Harley's market is continuing to age and shrink because young people don't want over-priced chrome road sofas or driveway jewelry. They want SPORT BIKES. Harley even bought MV Agusta to expand into that market. It's like they're committing corporate suicide in front of our eyes. Time to sell off their stock while it's still worth something... BASTARDS!! And to think I refrained from Harley-bashing for almost a decade now. |

Holy Crap! Didn't see this coming. Win a major championship, and POOF! your company goes up in smoke... So how many years will they still "stock" 1125 parts for? Heck, most dealerships don't stock tuber, or XB parts, let alone parts for the 1125's. <sigh> I certainly hope Erik has something up his sleeve.
