I know, search the KV. But I'm lazy today: The M2 is over-filling the tank with foamy oil when I start it. It's sat (not even the weekly piss-off-the-neighbors start) for over 2 months. I'm thinking the rings just need some time to get re-aquainted with the cylinder walls, but just thought I'd run it up the flagpole here to see what the CW is. Thanks, Ben |

Mud dauber wasps love to fill in the ends of breather tubes left out for a while. I had an old dirtbike be sabotaged by those bastards once. The vent hose on my gastank was blocked up. I saw it before anything happened since it was clamped to the handlebars. They can do it up in an afternoon. Also, If you leave it alone for a while, the oil will drain down out of the tank and into the engine. The tank will look very low and you will be tempted to top it off before starting it up. I would suggest: Run it for a minute. change the oil+filter, making sure to add as much as the book says. I'm thinking it's probably fine. |
