For a while now I've been working on putting my own band together, playing my own tunes. It's all coming together now, so I thought I'd post a little update... "The Lemonchili Project" played it's first live performance as a three piece band last sunday afternoon, with Dane on drums, Michael on guitar and myself on bass and vocals. This was a big, actually make that "huge", personal milestone for me. We played four songs at the Calendonian Hotel, and our unique bluesy garage rock sound was well received, lots of toes tapping
We've been rehearsing every week for the past couple of months, writing new songs, and you can hear a few tunes we recorded at rehearsal here http://www.myspace.com/thelemonchiliproject. (You can find us on facebook too, just do a search for "The Lemonchili Project") We now enter the next phase - looking for some gigs with more established bands and developing a local following. I'm really happy with the way things are going, I've got a great band who are becoming very good friends as well, and a lot of support from my number one fan (I don't think I could have got this far without her) . cheers, chili (Message edited by lemonchili_x1 on October 11, 2009) |

Congrats!!! I played in bands for about 14 years (Lead voacls and guitar) both in Alabama (while in the Air Force) and back home in Milwaukee. IT was a great time in my life and I got lots of pictures, recordings, and memories. |

If you were to ask someone what the Hallmarks of the Epiphone Jack Casady bass guitar, they would say a guitar that gives you a deep and clean sound, followed by a stylish hollow body classic design. This guitar offers a sweet sound that rock bass players will love, which is a direct result of both Epiphone and Gibson working in unison together, to help create this signature model. Very cool bass |

Hehehe It's a short but complicated story... It starts off in a small Sydney bar with a group of friends... Remind him "to tell you about it sometime" Oh...and our wedding vows actually...literally...included the phrasing "do you promise to be his roadie at all gigs", so I guess there's no backing out of that contract! Thanks Ourdee, I always seem to post the wrong link to the facebook page. "If you were to ask someone what the Hallmarks of the Epiphone Jack Casady bass guitar, they would say a guitar that gives you a deep and clean sound, followed by a stylish hollow body classic design. This guitar offers a sweet sound that rock bass players will love, which is a direct result of both Epiphone and Gibson working in unison together, to help create this signature model. Very cool bass" It's an incredibly cool bass. Apparently Jack Casady spent about 18 months working with Epiphone engineers to get it just right, just like his original Gibson, mainly working on the low impedance pickup design and location. The sound is more "full" than most basses while still being very clean, it's a great pickup. I'd love to try one of the pickups on a solid body bass to see how it sounds. I will check out the youtube vid tonight, can't hear it at work. Hmmm... bagpipes... thinking... |

Hmmm... bagpipes... thinking... Lemonchili_x1 I'm sorry I had to watch the rockumentary before I made the connection. The jack is very cool. I've got a 12 string Epiphone I will never learn to play. Bagpipes are cool, Its a long way to the Top If You Want To Rock-N-Roll. |
