Notice the lack of a Uly tail and the lack of a car imprint on the front end? I took that last year on the way home from Buelltoberfest |

The next task, should you choose to accept: Your bike in front of or near the grave marker of a famous dead person. Sorry, this cannot be in Los Angeles, there are too many famous dead people there. Since it may be difficult and/or disrespectful to put your bike right next to the marker try taking a picture of the marker and use additional pictures to show that your bike is really there. You MUST have a piece of riding gear next to the marker and that same riding gear on the bike if there needs to be more than one picture. Be sure to provide some information as to who this person is and why they are famous. For example(without the bike and gear):
Marilyn Monroe, Famous movie Actress. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Monroe Marker located in Westwood Memorial Park, Los Angeles, California. |

Big coincidence, morning radio guys "Bob & Tom" were reading a story a couple of weeks ago where Richard Poncher's widow (see photo above) is offering his tomb for sale on ebay. According to the story, he specifically had himself interred face-down so he would spend eternity "on top of" Marilyn Monroe. Link to story here: http://i.abcnews.com/Entertainment/story?id=841003 9 (Message edited by Hughlysses on September 24, 2009) |

Apparently Richard Poncher had quite the sense of humor. Also apparent, his widow did not think it was that funny. After reading about it I think she was moving his remains and just wanted to make some money off of the tomb. (Message edited by jim2 on September 24, 2009) |

I have been thinking about it. I don't know of any off hand. I will have to look some up. It is raining big bad and deep here today. Good news though, starting tomorrow it will be clearing and sunny through the next week! |

I didn't see the challenge before, but I cut through a grave yard every day on the way to work that has Babe Ruth. I just need to stop and snap a pic. |

Famous dead person? Hmmmm. Mickey Mantle? Byron Nelson? Stevie Ray Vaughan? Well, how about someone INfamous? Lee Harvey Oswald
For anyone who's curious about the "Nick Beef" headstone right next to Oswald's, here's the story. http://www.taph.com/famous-graves/next-to-lee-harvey-oswalds-burial-site-a-grave-secret-2.html For the next challenge, I couldn't decide, so, here are several: - charity/donation station, bonus points for donation receipt in the picture. - construction site with pipe in background - barber shop cane - anything Elvis related - fast food job application with actual restaurant in background - City Hall, bonus for picture with Mayor - live chicken or rooster - sign with a word starting with 'J' in it - hubcap reseller - truck with more than one trailer First one to any of the above. Helmet on left handlegrip for marker. GO! |

My pastor doesn't ride, but he's an avid outdoorsman, and he "gets" riders. There's even a nice big concrete pad for us bikers that's about as close as any spot to the door. On any given Sat night/ Sun morning you'll see 20-30 bikes out there But alas, our pastors take Mondays off, or I'd make the trek out there on lunch today for a pic!

BUMP. Would someone go take a picture? I don't want to be remembered as the one that killed off the riding game. What is the time limit rule? |

Don't hurt yourself, besides, killing threads is what I'm good at. There's a church practically across the street, so I can get a pic in the morning, even if it's still raining.... |

I have parts torn off the XB and at powder coat, so it's down. The X1 ignition switch finally crapped out, but the new one arrives today. If no one posts by tomorrow morning I'll have it. |
