It is a Honda EVO 6. It is built with the Fireblade (919) body and the Flat 6 Goldwing motor tuned for Mid to Upper rpm performance.

If you look closely they have pods right above the intake runner, below the gas tank with blinkers out front.

Ahh I get it. Now you want a gold wing that does not drag as many parts?

It was a concept that Honda showed during the Geman 2007 bike show. TopSpeed is reporting it will be release in 2010.

I am hoping!!!

that is definatley going to be a BKing/VMax type competitor.

That V6 is bigger than some car motors.

Packaging that engine will be near impossible without photoshop.
Those engines are huge in almost every dimension.

That having been said, it is what I have wanted to see ever since first seeing the 6 cylinder up close.

I think the only way you could get anywhere is if you cast the engine with big lugs so that it would act as the frame.
(kinda like a tuber)

Don't be fooled, it is still a flat 6 from the Goldwing. The protective coverings make it look like a different motor.

Here is a little more about it...

Nate,
I read somewhere that the Fireblade(919)chasis uses the engine as a stress member, so installing the flat 6 into the bike would be addressed the same way.

I have seen some other shots of the bike head on and the it looks like the first touch down point would be the headers under the bike as they go from 6 to 3. The next touch point would be the heads.

you could always use those covers as highway pegs.

They actually made it?!
I thought it was a 'shop!
<pop!>
That was the sound of my mind blowing!

Those flatties sound nasty with loud pipes.
I heard a Valkyrie being wound out and it was lovely : )

I found that picture from the front showing the possible touch down points...

And another angle showing the pipe crossover...

The japanese for whatever reason cant just make a simple awesome naked bike like the Buell. They try though but either the exhaust is hideous and the motor sluggish or it has a tail that is unsightly.

This one actually looks nice but will have an exotic price tag and would be too heavy for my tastes.

Buell just makes bikes that consistently speak to me aesthetically.

i do have to say that the pics of that in the white are alot sexier. i could ride that. i have seen some old goldwings turned into streetfighters/cafe's and they can be made to look mean and move pretty good.

Above Johnny said "This one actually looks nice but will have an exotic price tag and would be too heavy for my tastes"

I agree. I like the looks somewhat but IT HAS TO BE PRETTY HEAVY. Anybody heard of its weight?

Loooooong...! Will proly turn like a Peterbuilt.

Having said that, the heads don't stick out any further than a BMW "boxer" and the pipes look well tucked in so I would expect decent lean angles if the suspension isn't too squishy.

Don't know why Honda would build it tho'; very small market. V-max's are pretty much built-to-order now and V-Rod's aren't 'xactly flying off the showroom floors. Especially in this market environment. Big Red has been pulling in its horns significantly like the other mfr's.

LOVE(!) that Honda. That's a helluva lotta engine to wrap a naked bike around! That headlight setup looks killer.

Wait for Milan in Nov. - if it's going into production, it'll be on display there.

I just don't think it makes commercial sense right now. All the more so because the new VFR V4 Sport-tourer is coming to market for '10. That will be Honda's premier new model for the year, and a major engineering/production/marketing investment.

Rfischer,
I also read somewhere that Honda was leaking the EVO6 for a 2011 release. TopSpeed picked up on a 2010 story and I would really, really like to believe that one.

Now I just wait....
