I call this board "The Google of Motorcycling" Any question on any bike, or anything for that matter, gets accurately answered within minutes. This is simply the best message board I've ever used. |

BadWeB rocks because it is a forum whereby all those who believe in and can get behind an American engineer/inventor/entrepreneur who believes that it is possible that an American Sport Bike can be produced in the good ole USA and take on the world. That's why I'm here... How 'bout you? (sorry, corrected for proper BadWeB font) (Message edited by sparky on September 30, 2009) |

Perfect example of how much Badweb rocks: Earlier today I had a missed call from Ulywife. I figured I would wait till lunch to call her back, but decided to check badweb in the meantime in case it was a local Bueller needing help. Jimmy_in_nc (whom I've never met in person) had posted in the C3 section that he spotted my bike this morning and that my tail light was intermittent. Ulywife had called me just to make sure I saw the post. Thanks to Jimmy_in_nc and Ulywife I was able to fix the light during my lunch break (it turns out the bulb was fine, but it wasn't making good contact). No exaggeration- my ride home tonight will be safer due to Badweb and the friends I've met here. |

>>>>I was reminded yesterday about several smart Buell Enthusiast that we do not see on here anymore. It is a shame. That's an accurate statement . . . . All photos taken yesterday . . . . those are Paul's feel crawling around the studio . . . . reports vary as to if he fell down or was knocked down. Never dreamed when I got hooked up with Badweb that I'd have folks from 7 counties as Christmas guests. I've had the pleasure of spending the last week touring with some of the best friends anyone could have . . . it's all good. |

There are so many awesome people on here, it was sad that it had to come to a thread like this in the first place. I will admit that the politics deter me in a lot of cases from even opening a thread lately, and unfortunately I've missed some good topics due to that. I have looked over on the dark side to keep up with some friends I can no longer contact on here too. Regardless of where else I go, I still log on to BW daily to check the news and goss. We still intend to make it overseas one day in the hopefully near future, so losing touch is not an option. I do miss seeing all the familiar...names as often though. Things seem to have slowed quite a bit. |

I, too, checked out buelletin board. It is populated with well meaning Buell enthusiasts and sprinkled with a few people harboring chips on their shoulder. Ironically, it is plain to see that political eruptions are bubbling underneath the surface as some members including the administrator are Ron Paul supporters. A political thread was started yesterday about the Empire State Building being lit in ChiCom colors and several posters gave an enthusiastic peek up their skirts. It is just a matter of time before fur flies but that is the nature of ALL BBs, including this one. We self regulate this problem on Badweb and it will be interesting to see how it is managed there. They seem like good people though for being the Tail Section people relative to the Badweb Main Cabin people. <- LOST reference. (Message edited by reindog on October 01, 2009) |

being that buell is the only thing that we all can agree on. and if we weren't so different, we would have never ended up with a buell much less on this site. i've been pissed off with some of the crap that's gone here also but when it came down to it and need a lift i would come back and be able to get it. which i am truly grateful for the friends that i have met over the years. and wish that some of those people that don't come on here anymore would reconsider and pop in once in a while. i've only had once person rip me off from here when i parted out the totaled m2 a few years back and if that was one out of how ever many that are signed up on here, that's not to bad of odds i guess. and maybe of sending the political stuff to the backfire board maybe there just needs to be a political section so you know what to expect before you even open the thread up. |

Sounds like good idea Neverenuf. I was thinking the same thing a few days back. Why isn't there a section just for political topics, as there is for the different groups, pic threads etc? Everything has it's place, maybe it could have it's own? |

Personally, I feel that this site is about motorcycles. I think it is the best group on the net. But, when people from around the world start posting about politics, religion and other personnel beliefs we tend to get tangled up in our own hurt feelings. This is a large and diverse world and if we spend all our time in a pissing match, we lose sight of what binds this group together, talking about riding Buells. If something as simple as Buell can bring us together, then I say EB should run for president. So, if someone says something you don't like, be an adult and discuss it like an adult or shut up. X |

Yep the backfire board, trouble is if a thread has reached the stage where it has to be moved to there, it's usually way too late. |

If a post reaches that point, I've usually stopped reading it and gone on to another thread. |
