Just watched One Man's Island. Great flick, very dry in a low budget documentry kind of way. No dramatic footage, crashes etc. (Although there's a full on board lap included on the DVD) Great human interest story about a guy (Mark Gardiner) that sells his house and most of his posessions to go race the Isle of Man. One of my favorite quotes from the movie - "People say 'he fell off' because it's the most harmless sounding description of a crash. The fact of the matter is it's very, very rare to just 'fall off' at the TT. You know, if you fall off you're still usually moving over a hundred miles an hour when you hit an immovable object." - Mark Gardner. Great stuff! |
