quote:Moral of the story - there are damn few things the government does well.
Question is: Is there anything the government does well? |

I disagree. Unless of course you're only talking about the simple action of spending, and not the action of spending wisely. |

Odd that the things the Government does well (or at least suck the least) are those enumerated in Article 1, Section 8. It's almost like the founding fathers new what would happen. |

re The Mpls Farmers Market. BuellTroll Yes it's nice, yes some of it is over priced. No it's not all locally grown. In fact most of it is not! They buy it wholesale and hit the farmers markets. This time of year lots of produce is local (or at least in the state) grown. Peppers, corn, beets, etc. That's about it. They do have som darn good beef sticks though! |

We don't have a Farmer's Market near us. Instead we go to a local farm stand where everythingthey sell is grown by them. They have the best sweet corn I've ever eaten, excellent tomatoes, cukes, etc. Don't tell the First Lady, though; the Secret Service will have all traffic stopped on the two lane road that runs by the farm. |
