Found the dash I see. The mesh jacket seemed to do it's job pretty well. I was thinking about buying one. Now that you've "used" yours, would you recommend it?

well seeing that i dont have a scratch on me, yes i would recommend it!

Froggy, i haven't really looked it over but after you said frame damage i looked at pics little harder(could have just went to the gargage) and did see the damage under the frame puck.. That should be enough to do it!

Yea insurance companies usually will total due to any frame damage for liability reasons. Plus a frame replacement is about $2000 inc labor, so that will use up a good chunk of your repair allowance before totaling. I would start making plans to pick up a new 1125CR : )

It's check time bro that machine will however make a great track bike if none of the welds broke on the frame. The right side rear sets if you will look realy banged up mine had the same problem there even with a new one I had to shim it a little and I never got the footpeg to line up proper as the frame got a little tweecked right there.

You're going about it the wrong way. Get what you want to ride, not what she wants to ride on the back of 4 times a year. Now let's say she actually rides with you a lot. If she stuffed on the back of a Buell, that may be the motivation she needs to get her own bike. That's the plan I'm working on right now, and come to find out after riding a few times, she could take it or leave it. Thank god I didn't go buy so geezer glide to make her happy 3 times a year while I'm bored out of my skull the rest of the time I ride.

I was wondering what you were wearing on the bottom half. So, if there was no mark on the jeans, how did you manage the chunk out of your knee? Armour dig in maybe?..or just...nope I got nothing. Serious question, I really want to know what is the best thing to protect your legs while riding, as I feel they are the most vulnerable unprotectable parts that are likely to cop the damage.

Did you ever figure out where the kid that hit you came from? Did he come from the right in the intersection or from behind? I always hate it when a car shows up that I didn't see.

Vamp-
I just picked up a pair of BMW City pants. They were a little pricey but I was looking for something that was a little less conspicuous than the typical motorcycle pants. They are a little warmer than my mesh riding pants but have ce armor in the knees and hips (better than the pads that the Firstgear pants use.) I haven't tried to zip off the lowers yet to see how funny that may look but on a hot day it might be nice (if I take off my riding boots too).

Sorry I haven't called man I've been crazy busy. Wilson told me Saturday about it and that you were ok. If you need a Buell fix now and again the X1 one is yours. Let me know if you need anything. BTW I'm not interested in your forks anymore ; )

Badlionsfan... true what you say, but i have a plan!!!

Vampress... my knee didn't get a chunk out of it, that was my elbow. My knee did however get hit by the car when it hit me thats why its sore. I can take pics of the jeans if anyone cares to see.

Iamike.... i seen the car the whole way, it was just too late. He came from the right and was turning in the same direction we were riding. It was a road about 300 ft from the intersection, sorry if i didnt make that clear before.

Brett.. Thats cool man. Thanks for the offer and ya never know i may take ya up on that!!! You sure you dont want the forks? I will be a cool SOB and just give them to ya!

Pics are deceiving, but this thing looks like a good project bike. If the frame is just marred and the motor is still alive, I'd buy this thing.

Who's your insurance co?

Glad you're ok, could have been alot worse.

Ian what kind of pants are those that you are talking about, who make them? I wear Icon under armor that protect my knee and shin, that jacket held up well, good to hear that you are OK and BTW that glide looks really nice.
