Yep I got it and kind of slammed them. I told them they were still trying to promote the Sportster as a biginers/womans bike and if I rode it for less than a year I could trade it in on a REAL Harley even though the Sportster is the fastest (other than V-Rod) and best handling bike they make . Told them their Promotion was an epic failure, and then asked why the were promoting the worlds #1 motorcycle brand anyway, and that they needed to take more time promoting Buell. Complete waste of time and money IMHO. Why would I buy a bike to have it for less than a year? I answered the question why I wouldn't buy one even with the promotion by telling them that I already owned the best bike an 08 XB12R firebolt. I told them it was sold in Harley dealerships usualy found in a dark corner of the store by unknowledgeable salesmen, and if they realy wanted to promote something then they needed to take a look at Buell. I answered it. I hit them pretty hard regarding their marketing and business model. Told them I was very weary of black and chrome and the whole "lifestyle" BS. I said they need to emphasize riding, not posing and bar hopping. I also said I was tired of the same old American cruiser thing. They all look the same. Also said that I prefer a bike thaT handles well, has decent power. No HD qualify. Lots more but that was the general drift.. Also mentioned the need to drop the tough guy marketing, and mentioned the folley of having the same folks that do HD marketing doing Buell. | ||

I filled mine out yesterday just before I left work. I basically slammed them also. Stated I didn't understand why anyone would purchase a Sporster when a Buell did everything better. And, I didn't understand why they thought I would be interested in buying a Harley, after dealing with some Harley dealers with my Buell's! I guess the Harley gods got me though... Walked out to the 9R, pulled in the clutch and the cable broke!  | ||

I got it. I told them that I didn't much like small bore Hogs, because the Buell was better in every way: faster, lighter, better handling and better looking. I also reminded them that their service sucks big time. I always like to help out, but of course, my brothers here know that already. Am I right?  | ||

I asked them why I had to pay $6 for the privilege of making a DirectPay payment, when that is completely automated, vs. the expense of someone opening my envelope and processing my check. I also asked why my first statement didn't show up in the mail until after my first payment was five days past due. (After speaking with the woman at H-D Finance collections, she says that happens a LOT. WTF?!?) Didn't have the heart to tell them my next bike would probably be a Triumph. | ||
