This is Pixel. She's a 9-week old Liver (brown) spotted Dalmatian - just picked her up yesterday. First puppy I've had in 12 years or so, so I'm looking forward to it.

As puppies are, she's into everything, but housebreaking is going well and the first night in her new home went better than expected. The cats don't seem to mind her, which is also a good thing.

Mark,

Get her hearing checked. They are notorious for going deaf.

Nice pup by the way

Also for being extremely hyper. I know...have had two. One of the best dogs I've ever had though.

Beautiful pup...congrats.

Most good breeders check the hearing of all the pups. They actually aren't prone to going deaf, but being born deaf. Turns out to be a trait in all mostly white-coated dogs (and another animals I think as well). Pixel is deaf in her left ear, but that doesn't keep her from being a great pet.

Thanks for the heads up, though. Looking forward to the headless run coming up.

Our last dog was a liver spot Dally.

Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but very easy to live with past puppy stage.

I had a liver dally growing up. Very hyper for first few years, chewed up everything in sight til around 2 years old. One Christmas she knocked over a full size Xmas tree to get to candy canes that were on the top half of the tree. She was actually pretty smart tho too she learned how to open the sliding glass door by pushing on the rear of the door frame. It was never lock the doors kinda neighborhood, so it freaked us out until we realized it was the dog opening it. Not only would she let her self out for potty time, she'd also let the cat and our other dog in or out.

OMG!!! She's just adorable! I have it on good authority that they like the taste of expensive Triumph sportscar rear seats...be careful! Lol.

What a cutie! As for being deaf in one ear, no biggie. Teach her sign language. We're on our 2nd deaf dog. They learn quickly!

"Pixel is deaf in her left ear, but that doesn't keep her from being a great pet."

So if she has pups of her own, the litter would be called Mega Pixels?

Only if they were totally awesome, and since she's getting spayed, they would be pretty awesome, lol.

Nothing annoys me more than someone else's poorly behaved animal. She will be trained very well, I swear it.

That's not truw - plenty of things annoy me more, but it's still annoying to see someone getting dragged down the street by their dog.

My dogs don't drag me down the street....

But they do go ape $hit when someone new comes to the house for about 5 minutes then the settle down....

How about posting some more pics of that pup!

this is Bruiser... super spaz

... and Gator... big and mean (not really).. just don't run!
But if ya just stand there it freaks him out..
and then he'll run home with a WTF look on his face.. Or a "Why didn't they run away?" look

Nice - I think I'll have a hard time convicing the misses to a second dog - we already have two cats as well.

Once I dig out my camera I'll try and get some more pics up - those other ones were just taken with my cell.

We have 3 cats running the house...
I'm not that into cats but some how we ended up with 3 good ones

One of them has 7 toes on it front paws... looks like little boxing gloves.

I'm not much into cats, either, but the two that we have are much better now that they are allowed outside (was in an apartment, just bought a house). The used to contantly terrorize each other, the house and our things. Now they get it all out of the system runninaround the neighborhood.

The house I bought isn't all that big and I probably wouldn't want another large dog in here, anyways.
