Old for the challenge, but I had a good time getting these. They held a Festival and sheepdog herding championship at Soldier Hollow this weekend...

The bagpipes were great, the herding was cool, duck herding (??!?!??) was fun and the water dog competition was fun too. |

What is up with this one? I was hoping someone from outside the US of A would step up with this one. A military base or recruiting station with your country's flag showing, and of course your bike in the foreground. |

I took the MSF Military Sportbike Course today, which was held on an Air National Guard base instead of the base I normally work on - no flags at the gate WTF! Anyway, I know these pictures don't meet the mission requirements but here they are. After going through the first cornering exercise the instructors started sending me out first - that way I wouldn't have to slow down and ride a Jap bike's tail for the entire exercise. I felt like Eslick out there Starting the bikes up before each exercise was fun too. I-4's just can't compete with that heart thumping exhaust tone of the D&D. All in all it was a very fun day - I didn't really learn anything new but the course was a great chance to refresh some skills that I don't practice as often as I should. EDIT: The PM wheels look absolutely horrible on Betty. I can't wait to get a new set of tires on the cast wheels and slap those suckers back on. (Message edited by pkforbes87 on September 09, 2009) |

I reckon there might be a problem meeting this challenge. There's 3 military bases & 2 recruiting offices within 20 miles of here, but given the current state of security involved I have no intention of rolling up outside, anonymous in leathers & crash helmet, to then pull out a camera & start taking pictures. I have the worry that the (armed) people inside might get the wrong end of the stick. Think I'll pass on this one & keep my low profile intact. |

Grumpy, you can ride up to the gate and ask the guards about taking a picture. They will let you make a quick u-turn at the gate so you can get back off base quickly without an id. |

I went to the local AF base with one of my buddies tonight to use the gym (visitor's pass). Don't think this challenge should be too hard, I'd do it if my bike had a muffler and intake on it. Should be playing next week! |

Ill get some on the way to class today, there is a recruiter and a national guard station on my way in. I don't know about the flag yet, no matter how I take the picture it will be out of frame. hmmmm |

PK, my bike is still on UK plates, & France is a very bureaucratic place, they'd tie me up with red tape forever. I'm on rest next week so I'll have more playtime too. |

I would do it here but the local recruiting office is in a strip mall at the end of a mid size mall in a little store front deal. I don't recall even seeing a flag. Not real impressive from a camera's point of view. |

may I play? Our local office is a tri-service affair but are a little shy about the flag. (Message edited by sekalilgai on September 11, 2009) |

oh right.... keeping with the military theme, how about a pic of your Buell by a military weapon system heavier than 'one man lift' ...or about 55lb. I've seen planes on pedestals, Hueys by memorials, tanks and artillery by NG barracks .... Let's see some gear! |

does that count? its a jet.... since my time is running out in this town your mission, if you choose to accept, your bike at the top of a parking garage overlooking the city's buildings.. marker, your key resting on a blinker |

Hmmm, a trifle tricky here, over the last decade or two, with city building space being at such a premium, the old hi-rise parking garages have been torn down & replaced with apartment blocks & offices. Nearly all the carparks are subterranean these days. |
