Did you like that new house? Next up.....I want to see an old barn, not just any barn. It has to have at least one end of it leaning with its main posts about to fall, the important thing is it still has to be in use for hay, farm equipment or what ever farm related uses. |

wheres the garage ? How can you have a house without a garage? You cant expect to park the bikes in the street! Why isnt there a garage? note to self, dont drink alot of vodka, listen to Pink Floyd and have the Flying Circus up on the other window whilest posting on BadWeb. |

This was not an easy task. My son and I have been riding all morning and this is the closest to the task we could find. It seems most are restored or replaced around here. This is two different sides to the same barn. It is still being used for something because the path going in and out of the large back door is clearly still a high traffic area. Judges?

Cool! Sorry for the delay. I was at a local bike night meeting up with some badwebers. Your bike in front of a local coffee shop. Not a caribou, Starbucks, or dutch Bros but a local mom and pop type shop. Large stuffed animal on the seat for a marker. (and for my amusement) (Message edited by rpm4x4 on September 04, 2009) |

I don't know what the next challenge is but I went out riding and found this cane break rattle snake. It had been ran over before I got to it. It was still live and kicking and slightly pissed off.
I left the bike running in case he decided to come for a visit. |

dang... thats where I was. I went to ride down by the lake, because the roads follow the curvature of the lake and makes for some excellent riding. |

1640 post... but maybe I'll win. It's a riverene lake fed by the flint river. Here are the pics.
Here is the info on it Spreading over 8,515 acres, this Flint River impoundment is owned and operated by the Crisp County Power Commission. In the summer of 1994, floodwaters breached its dam. Once repairs were made though, the fishing quickly rebounded and Blackshear is a favorite destination with anglers in southwest Georgia. Lake Blackshear was constructed by the Crisp County Power Commission in 1930 using private funding. The lake is named after General David Blackshear, a Revolutionary War–era soldier who blazed a trail through this part of Georgia when it was still the young nation’s western frontier. Blackshear is a riverine lake, less than a mile in width, and stretches across more than 15 miles of the Flint River valley. When the lake was constructed, no timber was removed from the basin. While this was great for the fish, it made navigation difficult, sometimes with deadly results. In 1973 the lake was drawn down and the timber removed from the area downstream of the Georgia Highway 280 bridge. Upstream of the bridge, the timber was left untouched except for clearing a well-marked navigation channel. The results of these efforts were beneficial to both anglers and pleasure boaters. During the summer, the lake below the bridge is the usual three-ring circus of personal watercraft and pleasure boats, but upstream of the bridge anglers can find plenty of uncrowded water to fish. About a third of Blackshear’s shoreline is taken up by houses, cabins, and other developments, while the rest remains mostly agricultural or undeveloped. There are about 1,200 docks on the lake, so for the dock-fishing specialist, Blackshear is the place to be. The most significant event in Lake Blackshear’s life undoubtedly was the flood of 1994. When the floodwaters receded, 80 percent of Lake Blackshear was high and dry. For more than a year, Lake Blackshear was 14 feet below full pool while the dam was repaired and rebuilt. The flood seemed to do the old lake good though. Many feel that the fishing has improved since the lake was refilled. Blackshear is a unique lake. Not only is it a large reservoir owned by a county commission and the only major reservoir in Georgia ever to have its dam breached, but the lake also has three large springs set aside part of the year for fish refuges. In an attempt to restore them to their native range, Lake Blackshear receives annual stockings of Gulf Coast-strain striped bass. The springs are summertime refuges for these coolwater-loving fish. The area around each spring is closed to all fishing from May 1 to October 31. Key species: largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish, channel catfish. |

If it's a winner... I don't think we've seen a golf course yet? So... a bike with a golf course in the back ground with the helmet on the passenger seat facing backwards. 1000 bonus points if you can actually ride the bike to play golf. (thinking it would have to be a uly, S2 or S3 to carry the clubs... another 500 points if you can get the clubs on another model of buell) |

Yes that is an interesting story of the river and its lake for sure. I, however, got a river with a better name. It is named after a French woman who liked to share cookies and milk with the young gentlemen of the area.....
I didn't take my helmet off, so placing it on the airbox and taking the picture would have been beyond my skill level. |

He would over whelm you with his coolness, just ask him I got the golf clubs on the CITYX but Verizon is giving me some difficulty in the upload. damn technology. I will have to get up early and make it to the golf course, I hope my phone is working by then again. (besides I want the 1000 bonus points) To be true it will only really be 782 pts, as I am sure there is withholding deduction! |
