Natalie Portman thinks this is a great opportunity for you. Maybe this article is the lift you need: PORTMAN HAS HIGH HOPES FOR RECESSION Hollywood actress NATALIE PORTMAN is determined to see the positive side of the global economic downturn - she's convinced the international recession will allow people to rethink their priorities. The Star Wars actress, who filmed a FunnyOrDie comedy sketch about the financial crisis last year (08), insists workers who are now worse off will be able to get their lives back on track and find the career they have always wanted. She says, "I think it's kind of an exciting time. I mean, everyone is cutting back. It's happening in every industry - including our own. All of a sudden, people are doing jobs that they hate and they're not making as much money as they thought they would or they've lost their jobs entirely. I've started to see people looking more toward their own passions and what really excites them." http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/portman -has-high-hopes-for-recession_1114457 |

"people looking more toward their own passions and what really excites them." News to me.. If I had the money I'd be passionately rebuilding an S3 right now. Instead I spend an unhealthy amount of time playing video games simply because it fills my time and is already paid for. Still though.. I'm lucky to live in a country where "I'm so poor I have to play video games" qualifies as a complaint. |

As I recently found myself unemployed, as of yesterday 08-31-09... I have decided that my new passion is Star Wars Actresses to stalk, I am glad that Natalie has volunteered to be first. It sure beats doing a job I hate and cutting back and skimping elsewhere. I now have the time to dedicate to twitter her updates, stake out her house and follow her every move. I am sad that I missed Carrie Fisher when she was wearing her gold bikini, but we all must make sacrifices during these difficult times. |

Good one slicker, you posted too many photos of customer rides and got busted! Perhaps you should move to TN and give Ft_Bstrd some competition. |

F OFF is all I can say to her. I am sick of peanut butter and jelly too... However, applying to graduate schools in North Carolina does fit with my new passion... Gettting the F out of Wisconsin winters! |

It's easy to find the silver lining when your personal piggy bank is full to overflowing. I'd like to hear her perspective after she has to flip burgers in order to pay the bills, keep a roof over head, food on the table, clothes on her back, and take little Timmy and/or Suzy to the Doctor/Orthodontist/Pediatrician. I'm sure she'd just be FULL of happiness then, don't you think? Stupid, vapid, no nothing @$$hat! |

I've spent the last two years reinventing myself after IBM laid me off. Two months ago that invention failed. Now I'm going to re-re-invent myself. I hear strippers make good money...Now, where do I get rhythm? |

Perhaps you should move to TN and give Ft_Bstrd some competition. Hell, I'd gladly give you my job selling Buells and HDs. I do it because I am passionate about Buells and want to help Tom. I'm a rank amateur. You are the big leagues. C'mon down. We have some dirty parts here too. That sucks Slick. |

No street cred for V for Vendetta? Seriously though, I personally am making the best of being unemployed. Luckily I didn't buy the house I was looking at before the layoff, I got all summer off, and my schooling/books/web domain/software/(including Photoshop)is paid for. Not that Web Development is my passion, but I think I am going to like it, and will try to do it on my own (no boss). Might even give me a reason to get that Nikon D90 I've been dreaming about. edit: that is, unless Obama shuts down the internet, then I am SOL. Hhhmmm new parts or meal on the table...Hhhmm holiday away or electricity...tough calls! Yes...easy for a millionare to say. |

I have planned a winter trip to Russia (finally) who knows, maybe I just dont come back, I hear they have really embraced capitalism there, and there are 3 dealerships now in Moscow. Maybe they need a mud luvin, pycckuu speaking, metal moving Buell fanatic. I made more money doing insurance, I did bikes because it was fun. I can always go back to insurance. I did keep my licenses current... |

Has she served her time in the IDF yet? I heard she got it delayed a few years ago. Might be a good time for her to try life on the bottom. |

As one of those recently laid off, I do have time to pursue my passions. Unfortunately, they don't pay the bills. Unless I can get paid for riding around on my Nightster. Natalie was one of those very fortunate actresses that landed a huge movie role when she was in her teens, and hasn't had to struggle since. I don't begrudge her success, but she cannot possibly comprehend what the rest of us are going through. |

I know of many supposedly proud and patriotic Israelis who hide out here until they reach the magic age (23 for females, 26 males). Yordim. |

Yordim (Yor-deem); plural form of Yored, the Hewbrew word for ex-pat. Roughly translated means 'to descend'. |

Eh, reaping what we have sowed for decades. It's only going to get worse and we'll never again enjoy the standard of living we once had. You can thank our utter dependence on oil and spending money we don't have (oh and now Obama printing money like its going out of style)...we are screwed. I am just glad I dont have kids involved in this mess. |
