Just for my clarity... The mascot in question, is that something like a Stuffed Elmo or a statue of Ronnie in front of a McD's? |

If one does not have a problem taking the picture with their guy or girl I would be stoked. I only changed cause they said it was against the rules. Our Quizno's sub has a giant cup costume and a tax office has a giant Statue of Liberty that someone dresses up in. That's what I has in mind. Also a K-Mart going out of business had some people standing out front holding signs. Not a fake Statue. |

But I'm single and staying that way dammit! Oh well, I'll just run to Hooters for lunch. Contest or not I think that's the best use of my time. (As I type this the radio broadcasts severe weather warnings) |

should have paid attention to the weather warning. I didn't make it all the way to hooters and on the way back tornado sirens were going off. I had to dodge debris flying across the road in the 70 mph winds. At least Betty is in the garage now that the hail has started. Ah man I just love Oklahoma.. |

I rode about 40 miles one way to the place where I thought I remembered an airsteam (not at an RV lot). Not so much anymore. Got a little wet too but it was a nice ride. This one might prove to be tough but do-able. |

With all the tornados, I would think one would get picked up and end up in your front yard ! Careful out there Pk ! (always here of tornados hitting trailer parks, there must be some sort of magnetism) |

It took me an hour to track down where Skillet Street Food http://www.skilletstreetfood.com/ was located today. They just moved up to the Queen Anne farmers market. Only in Seattle would there be a converted Airstream Trailer that serves gourmet food. Check out there menu to get an idea of what they serve (changed daily). |

Next challenge: Since we are a fortune group of folks, and since motorcyclists as a group are quite generous, lets give something back. This will be a two part challenge, on part is required, the other part is optional, but this time there will be an actual prize for completing it. Required part: I want a photo of your non- caged transportation in front of your local blood donation center. This could be a blood bank, a local clinic, hospital, any place that accepts blood donations. Optional part: I would love a badweb member, or someone on a badwebbers behalf to donate blood. I want to see a photo of the individual donating it holding a sign that says "Badweb Cares." For the member that fully completes this challenge I will donate my unused Buell branded laptop bag. I will include shipping at my expense to anywhere this challenge happens. I understand donating blood is not usually a spur of the moment thing, so if a member completes the first part then completes the bonus in a timely fashion (a few days?). I will still honor the prize. Good luck, I really hope I get to send this bag to someone. (Message edited by corporatemonkey on July 16, 2009) |

WOW, I never saw my challenge completed. Sorry I was at work but where was the person holding the sign? Some girl in a drive up window is NOT what I has in mind. |

So much for a quick attempt to win this one. I've driven past this one a few times, I just assumed they were in operation. Unfortunately there is a "For Lease" sign in the window. I donate blood at work, which since I am ready to donate again I can complete the bonus tomorrow. Sorry for the dark pic, no flash on the phone. Will post a better pic later. [Bum link fixed] Same with flash (not much better): If this doesn't pass muster let me know. I'll try to find an operating donation center in the mean time. Mascot... person in costume promoting team or business.... And Vanessa in her French Maid outfit at Bikini Joes fails how ? I will save the blood donation for one of you other Buelligans as it is a worthy effort and I already have a stash of Buell swag from my dealership dayz. Next task; Your bike infront of a 'working' boat. Helmet on seat. No ski boats, no pleasure yaghts. I mean a boat that is in 'service' for say LEO, Rescue, military duty, transportation duty, a tug, a barge, fisher, even a cruise ship; could be river, lake or ocean. Navy ships should be nothing bigger than a frigate, cruiser, destroyer, you know as they say, the Little boyz. Have fun. |

oooop flag on the play, looks like Will742 beat me to posting, but his pic is just a lil red X.... Line judges? I hold my task pending the ruling. btw Vanessa would be upset to know that she is not an appropriate 'Mascot' |

How does that saying go? If you want something done right.... I suggested people holding a sign, like the people you see on the side of the road. On my way home today I saw a Quizno Guy holding a sign, a Monterey Grill Lady holding a sign and a carwash Penguin mascot-costume person holding a sign. Is Port Orange the only area with people advertising like this? |

I am going to give the required challenge to Cityx as his is a real location, but for Will742 if you complete the bonus section I will gladly send you the bag. When you post up a photo of your donation, just send me a PM with your mailing address and I will ship out the bag ASAP. |

Sorry if I was not clear on the blood donation. I did say giving blood is not a spur of the moment thing. I understand donating blood is not usually a spur of the moment thing, so if a member completes the first part then completes the bonus in a timely fashion (a few days?). I do not want anyone donating blood unless they are able to responsibly transport themselves home.
