Only Froggy would have multiple odo pictures....... turns out the top picture is his mileage for the Burger Run and the bottom is for an oil change..... pic properties gave you away Froggy.... except for me, I have one at 18k and one just the other day when I turned 20k. The mileage mission is still on: picture of your odometer before your ride and a picture at least 30 miles later. (added because the original mission is back a thread page) (Message edited by Toona on July 13, 2009) |

I had one that is exactly 1000 miles, but thought it would be easier to get away with this Oh, mine did 60 miles in the back of a pickup today, does that count? (Message edited by froggy on July 13, 2009) |

I guess I have to park my ride for these. I know mt bike well. I can't take a 100 mph pic or a high mileage pic. The only thing I need is a watch on my wrist to tell me when I need to get there...guages are like reflectors and blinkers for me...unnecessary weight. i'll see you there but have no idea how many times my sprocket turned over or how many times I touched the brakes either. |

New Challenge. Your bike in front of a Municipal airfield, or fly in neighborhood landing strip that is AT LEAST 50 radial miles from your home. That means as a crow flies, fifty miles that away. AND a google map / map quest, or gps trax back showing the minimum 50 miles. Bonus style points for partakin in the cafe fare at said airport. (not a requirement, but who wouldnt ride for pie ?) |

I'm out on this one. You don't have an S1 with a thong seat. I would do it but don't have 3 hours to kill. Lots of traffic between here and there. |

This is just me talking out my ass, but... I have no interest in being labled a whiney little b!tch, but I think we should try to keep the challenges relatively short and sweet. An airfield 50 miles away "as the crow flies" means folks would have to ride a minimum of 60 miles or so each way (and likely quite a bit more). And in order to keep it fun, people would likely want to try and stay off the highway. So we're looking at 120 miles at least - that's like a 3 hour plus ride. Cool - I like a good ride. But this one is a no go for me. I can't just bust this one out on my lunch break or stop by quick on my way home. I think missions should be able to be reasonably completed in about an hour or less, but that's just me. |

Sissies. I ride more than 50 per day just going to work and back. And even a lot of it is on congested interstate. From the end of town I'm on now I know of an airport that's about 90 miles. M:ight just knock this one out after work. |

Well, How about this for an Addon? Whoever makes the Challenge also completes and posts said task? (Message edited by roadcouch98 on July 14, 2009) |

...and as another Addon, we can STILL go out and complete these tasks for Spit and Giggles and post 'em up to not only explore Our own backyards, but to show others what we've got in Our locales!?! (Message edited by roadcouch98 on July 14, 2009) |

Might just knock this one out after work. And my house is 1.5 miles from my office. What's your point? Have at it - I just think the thread will move along faster and be more fun if we don't have to wait half a day or more for a challenge to be completed. |

I'd rather wait and see something cool than see 10 pics of junk all day... I understand your sentiment, but my "local airport" looks just like the airport 50 miles away (100 miles round trip) When I posted the odometer challenge prior to this one, I picked 30 miles, just because it was something one could do, in about 30 minutes. I thought that the "quickness" of the challenges being achieved was part of the mystique of this thread. The longer challenges tend to slow things down, causing a loss of interest. Just my thoughts. |

I will let you guys decide this one.. I don't care either way. After all it is a "Scavanger hunt" so not EVERYONE can complete Everything. Just sit back and wait for the next one you can do, someone will get it. |

I took me about an hour to do the 30 miles, because I am all rural back roads with no interstate, and attracting law enforcement is not on my high list of things to do. The challenge should stand. I am taking a group of local riders out on a group ride tonite (we never do less than a full tank at 130 miles door to door, we run every Tuesday) If noone has it by 9pm, We will. Style points for dragging along a couple of SV's, errant R6's, CBRs, a Screaming Red HyperMoto, A Umph Daytona and maybe a Xb if danno checks his texts. |

I thought that the "quickness" of the challenges being achieved was part of the mystique of this thread. The longer challenges tend to slow things down, causing a loss of interest. I think this thread's had a good mix so far, but Toona makes a very good point. Go to the regional forums at advrider and look at any of the "tag-o-rama" threads. While that's fun, it can be a PITA due to the times and distances involved. That makes it hard or impossible for a lot of people to participate. This is a much more user-friendly riding game. |

yea it didnt seem like anyone wanted to play, and im with Vortec, buck up sissies ~next up~ a panoramic picture with your bike in the center, your helmet on a rock, and a stuffed toy in the middle of the road like road kill. lets keep the picture out of the neighborhoods and throw it in the country side somewhere. distastful but still relevant; bonus, if it is actual road kill in the middle of the road. example of panaromic:
