BadWebbers, I apologize for the delay in checking in. I see I'll have to make more of an effort to keep this thread from disappearing in the archives. We're wrapping up our staging and training phases and will begin full scale combat ops in the not too distant future. We've already tied into a couple of ops but not as a MEU. I as well as my Marines appreciate all the kind words and well wishes. Thanks... |

Wolfridgerider, That's very kind...I'm not in need of anything but I have 80 Marines to pass anything you send around to. It'll be much appreciated. Unless of course that package has a FUELL Issue or other Bike Mag...those will be keepers.... C.L. What's on their priority want list? Coffee? Beef Jerky? Thanks for checking in again and again thanks for doing what you do. We'll see about making this permanent, or putting a link atop the Quick Board. |

you think we can get ulywife to add one more thing to her already busy/hectic life and take up collections to send stuff to these guys over there. just kidding kristi. i'd be happy to donate to anyone else's care package that's heading over there. |

Nevrenuf - you know I'd do it, especially for our military personnel. I shop with the best of 'em! The PayPal account is still in effect from Matt's fundraiser. Blake - great idea about making this an on-going effort. (Message edited by Ulywife on April 09, 2008) |

This fall I was at a friends birthday and I ran into a Marine in a Buell jacket who was shipping to Iraq with Golf Co. 2-24 out of Madison. I wish I had gotten his name. I think it's a great idea to offer our support to the guys over there. It takes so little effort and the shipping is super cheap. A flat rate box is only $8.95 to send all the way to any APO address. It's the nicest feeling in the world when you are thousands of miles from home and a box shows up with your name on it. Bill |

Bill, Tell me more about the flat rate boxes. We spent a fortune sending stuff to my son for Easter. Brad |

Your well wishes are much appreciated... Although we're not officially Mission Capable yet...in true Marine fashion we couldn't stay out of the fight for long. Our Harriers have recently done a little match making between quite a few bad guys and the virgins awaiting them. Rest assured they will have plenty of company before long. I have gotten a few requests for 24 MEU SWAG available...our PAO has quite a bit. Anyone interested in t-shirts, coins and the like send me a PM and I'll reply with the pics and prices. |
