I am the owner of a time share property in FLA, after years of paying stiff fees and getting less than stellar service, I have decided to sell ( some time ago actualy, ) I was solicited by a firm that charges a fee ( hefty for me ) to "take it off of your hands by transfer" I have checked with the BBB and 9 issues in 2 years with most being resolved, I have not made a huge effort to sell it I just want to be rid of it now What do you think of having to PAY someone to take a time share off of your hands. the co seems to be legit, sadly the resort time I own would be the cats pjs for a family with small kids, 2 miles from dizzy world, but the pay thing seems wrong .... please comment. I am outa my depth here on a side note I was able to get about 1/3 off of the fee |

I just Googled "Sell Timeshare". There are a bazillion hits of places advertising they'll buy 'em. I'd do a little more research. Paying someone to take it off your hands sounds ridiculous. |

A lot of the listing agents supposedly charge a fee to sell them. it was an extremely well crafted pitch that was provocative if half of what is being said by them is true then this is the mother of all news stories about the crooked deals that are made I canceled the deal and will try to sell it out rite BTW its gonna be cheap if any ones interested.. |

You might put it on ebay uk, lots of brits go to florida for family vacations. Put a reserve on, if it doesn't sell all you've lost is the insertion fee. |

Jim, Sold my time share a few years ago, paid a listing fee for the online web site, kinda like a realtor's fee since it was all that I had to pay. I was not actually clear of it (the time share) until an acceptable offer came in and I signed papers, like selling a house almost. The company was decent to work with, I'll see if my wife has the info on it around still if you'd like. -Mike |
