I've been having some problems with my 2-year old Passport 8500 X50 falsing lately, so I sent it in to the company for repairs. In today's throw away society, kudos are due the Escort company before I even mention what they did just because of the fact that they do repairs. I paid $59 and shipped my sickly detector off for repairs. I've dropped it a few times, rode in the rain with it, not to mention our bike's vibration, etc. After two years of that type of service, I'd have been content to just pay for a new one. These guys have a different idea on how to keep customers coming back. For $59 and a two week turnaround, they gave me new switches, new antenna, new case and lenses, recalibration, and a laser circuit update. Wow. That's not all...They also replaced the windshield suction cup bracket because mine was a little bent, and included two extra suction cups (total 4). I would have been happy with just a recalibration. I got what amounts to a brand new $300 detector for $59. The 8500 X50 is already known to be one of the top two detectors on the market. After this CS experience, you can believe I'll be buying another one from them when this one finally craps out or they come out with a better one. Highly recommended company. I've got a nice Ram mount with a waterproof cover and a hardwire kit now, so I'm all set for the riding season! | ||

Well as long as she doesn't find out I called her an escort, I can say she almost makes me want to choose her over a motorcycle ride. That's high praise. I'm greedy and bossy though. I take the ride, and then I take the ride.  | ||

Yep, Escort is great that way. I did the same thing with my SOLO. I think it was less then a two week turnaround. |
